Not the people that go to Super Bowls. The media and the corporate people are the ones that come, and they don't want that.
The last Super Bowl proved that people will travel to a Super Bowl in a colder climate. And the media is going to the Super Bowl even if it is hosted at the North Pole.
But Green Bay is a different beast and would probably never happen. I just said I would love it.

Seriously, you have no clue what you're talking about. There is a reason why NOLA always gets Final Fours, MNCs, Super Bowls, All-Star Games, etc.
I never said that New Orleans was a bad city for the Super Bowl. But combine the NFL being more willing to have the Super Bowl in colder locations with the Superdome incompetence and you get a recipe for less Super Bowls in New Orleans

I think it will be New Orleans in 2018.
New Orleans is also a finalist for the Final Four in 2017, 2019, & 2020. The 7 other cities which include Minneapolis & Indy are finalist in 2017,2018,2019, & 2020. I believe there is a reason that New Orleans isn't on the 2018 list, and that reason is the Super Bowl.

According to this article the league requires the city to have 25,000 hotel room and King county has 34,000
If the rule says within the city, why are you posting the county numbers? Downtown Seattle has 12,750 rooms.
Seattle would be a fun place for a Super Bowl

It was in New York City.

They bitched beforehand because it was something to talk about. Have you never watched TV in the weeks leading up to a Super Bowl? They always fill the air with some crap.

no one wants to spend the super bowl (thousands of dollars per ticket) sitting in a fricking blizzard man.
You have to remember all the fringe events that come with the super bowl aside from the game. The NFL Experience Venue, tons of concerts, promotional stuff, media from around the world.
Nola is one if probably 3 places that can boast capacity and proximity for every single event. You add to that the party culture, the cuisine, and you end up with an almost unbeatable product.

that it doesn't prove people are willing to travel to any cold weathered city.
They are willing to travel to the greatest city on earth

I guess NYC is out of the picture too with their transportation issues, something that actually resulted in injuries

Don't forget the new state-of-the-art airport in NOLA by 2018 too!

NYC/NJ /= Minneaplois or Indy
And to compare those two is laughable. It's like saying Paris is just as great as Omaha

Especially when NY has over 23 million people in their metro area compared to Minneapolis' 3.4 million.

You think people won't travel and have a great time in colder cities like Denver, Seattle or even Minneapolis? Jesus people just buy a coat. Minneapolis has already hosted a Super Bowl and Detroit has twice. It's going to be happening more in the future and it's good for the NFL

Goodell said Friday that the Super Bowl needs to "get to as many communities as possible, and give them the opportunity to share not only in the emotional benefits, but the economic benefits."

Seattle is 37 low/50 high for early Feb on average.
With only November/December/January having more precipitation than Feb.
People would complain who aren't used to that much rain. Cold and rainy doesn't suit most people - no matter how awesome the city is.

Way to miss the entire point. I was pointing out that weather isn't the defining issue when planning a Super Bowl.

Goodell is a fricking idiot.
