Seems the Co pilot liked the ladies and not the rules.

Just heard a guy on Faux News speculate it could have been an "Egyptair Allah Ackbar" nosedive into the water. If it went down in Vietnam, it might take a while to find it. There are Americans who went down there in the 60s/70s and have never been found.

makes no sense, sense 9/11 the pilots open the flight deck door for nothing, so only if somehow they tricked them to open the door. (I suspect this would be reported to ATC) or if a pilot was somehow recruited as a terrorist, I don't think this can happen. Plus I would think that they would have seen something suspicious on the radar.

If I remember correctly with Egypt Air, it was the 1st Officer/Co-pilot that put the plane into the water, there was no need to open the door.

my knowledge is probably on the third grade level compared to people who actually fly and deal with avionics as a profession

yes I had to look up what you meant when you said AOA

Note: most of my knowledge about the air france flight came from a air crash series on youtube.

Usually the pilot flying will continue to fly the other pilot will troubleshoot the emergency and communicate to ATC etc...Then once the initial issue has settled down the aircraft commander will take over flying.
The control of the aircraft is specific. If you and I are flying together and you are at the controls the hand off goes like this. I will say, I will take the aircraft. You respond with, Pilot has the aircraft, to which I will reply, copy pilot has the aircraft. It doesn't matter if you are on autopilot or not. You have pilot flying and PNF pilot not flying. The reason for this is everyone needs to know who is flying the aircraft, pilot, copilot, flight engineer etc. I know that sounds like it should be obvious but think of a car with two sets of controls.

For any avionics geeks here, this is the ELT (emergency locator transmitter) that should be on the 777, various specs and characteristics are linked on the page.

Yeah I was wondering about the ELT. No words on any transmission from it.

Not communicating who had control lead to the air France flight crashing. The guy in the pilot seat, captin was on break at the time of the crash long flights have crews of three for flying one rests while the other two fly.

But while the co-pilot continued to pull back on the stick the pilot, thinking he had full control of the aircraft tried to level it out but he never said I have control meaning the plane continued to pitch up but stall. It wasn't till they were between 10,000 feet and 4,000 feet when they tried to correct and pitch down to gain speed but by that time the vertical speed was was to fast between 7,000 and 10,000 feet per minuet for them to recover before the plane hit the water.

Could it be that the transmissions being underwater it can't be picked up because of the sea floor may be obstructing the transmission?

It could have been hours after it crashed when they started tier search meaning by that time it would have sunken to the bottom.

Hard to say, this mystery won't be solved anytime soon.

Check this artical out.

They could have had the ADF tuned to an R&B station for the smooth sound of Barry White or Smokey Robinson. "Would you care for a Courvasie miniture my dear? Why yes, many pilots do fly in the nude."
