It's definitely been 6 years. Just like Pau had a better win share on the 09 lakers than Kobe did. But it's impossible to convince the Kobe fanboys that.

They should at least admit he's been better these last 3 years

The largest gap there is still between MJ and LeBron

LeBron>Kobe is probably the closest

I admit LeBron > Kobe the last 4 years

2009 and 2010? Those years Kobe is wearing jewelry. I will not concede those years.

ETA: ^^^ and that statement will never be a slight to LeBron

I like LeBron, but I can't fricking stand his fans

Outside of 1 or 2 trolls, no KD fans ever said Kevin Durant is the best player in the world. They said he's having the better year, which is the 100% truth. Sorry if that makes you upset

Why are LeBron fans so defensive and jealous when some other player is having a great year? I've always been a KD fan but always recognized LeBron as the best player in the world. I don't dislike LeBron, but his fans are the sole reason I pull against the Heat

Durant has a 20 game stench where he was averaging like 37 a game, then LeBron has an awesome game and all the LeBron junkies are back yelling " LeBron is the MVP, GOAT, KD can't hang, ect" like the first half of the season never existed

LeBron has been the best player in basketball since the 2007-2008 season. That's six years in a row.

As of now, he isn't this season. But the season isn't over.

It's not even fair to compare those 2 yet with how young KD is

I agree with that. Like I said, I'm a KD fan but have always recognized LeBron as the best player in the world because I'm not a biased homer

Yeah, I'd still call LeBron the best player in the world for sure. He's just not having the better season.

But playing in the Eastern Conference, the Heat don't have to do much in the regular season. That means LeBron doesn't have to do as much in the regular season. As we've seen since the end of January, LeBron and the rest of the Heat have turned it on as the playoffs are approaching.

Durant, on the other hand, has had to carry a huge load with Westbrook going down. And the West is obviously so competitive, so their record in the regular season matters a lot more for home-court in the postseason.

If I had a vote right now, I'd vote KD for MVP hands down. However, I would not be surprised if my vote changes by the end of the season.

I put perspective players in order based on their ability in the prime of their careers.

Lebron is likely in his prime, but could still improve. Who knows what KD is capable of, but as of right now he is behind Kobe... which I clearly stated in the original post.

No, he's making it close

If the season ended today Durant is still the MVP and anyone who disagrees didn't watch basketball this season. LeBron could still end up passing KD in this last part of the season tho

The LeBron fans would blow up the internet if he had the month KD had this year
