Looking for some ideas other than the standard Ruth's Chris. Leaning towards Ruffino's at the moment. The people in the party are pretty open eaters.

Ruffino's and Beausoleil are going to be the ones recommended to you

Ruffino's would not make my list for very special. They let kids make pizzas in there for God's sake!

This. Nothing else is close in the BR area for a very special occasion.

Maison Lacour would be the only contender.

Very good restaurant for sure. I just really enjoy the overall experience of Latil's more. We always get there early, walk around the grounds and then have a cocktail or two in the turtle bar before dinner. Makes a great evening.

No doubt atmosphere at Latil's is better.

Can't go wrong with either, worth the drive for me, but not everyone feels that way.

Stroube's has a great atmosphere, excellent drinks and good food.

Great place to go for a special night.

Forgot all about them. Do they do private rooms? We're celebrating my grandpa's 100th birthday and he loves Italian food.

Juban's or Mansur's....Latil's is nice, but that's quite a drive after cocktails, dinner, & wine.

I love Gino's. I don't know that they have a private room per se, but there is a section on the other side of the bar that can be closed off which fits about 2 long tables, maybe 12-14 at a table. I've eaten in that area several times with large groups.
