Looking for the best way to cover honeymoon expenses in December with CC points. We want to head to somewhere with a beach between Christmas and New Years. I have 65,000 AAdvantage Miles & 66,000 Chase points (Mexico, Caribbean, Hawaii). I'm going to get 10k for referring my fiancee and hit the 50,000 bonus with her, so we will have the 65,000 AAdvantage & ~140,000 Chase points by the time December rolls around. Any advice?

I need to spend $4,000 in 3 months on my new CSR card. So I need to figure out a way to get my bills and all included onto this card.

I don't spend that much so I need to see if I can pay my car note on the card. Has anyone ever used Tio before? Is it legit? If I could get my car note on it for the next few months I'll be able to hit $4,000.

I've only used Plastiq, and it works.

they charge 1-2.25%, that cancels out your rewards

What do you mean it cancels it out?

Just got instant decline for SPG AmEx wtf. I'll call the recon line when it comes in but I'm seriously confused. AmEx just must not like me - I've been a cardholder since 2010 but they decline my request to increase my limit every year. Must be my massive student loans but they're in forbearance for a little while longer and I have a 750+ credit score...

The % you pay for the fee equals the % you gain in rewards so it is a net zero gain. Should really try other avenues (buy a ton of GCs) before you resort to that.

Yeah it will cancel out the rewards on the spend but if you are doing it just to get a signup bonus it may make a little more sense.

I wouldn't do it personally, but if you can't get your signup bonus otherwise and don't want a stack of gift cards, then it may make sense

Yeah I don't want to stack gift cards and I don't want to spend unnecessary money. I might just bite the bullet and pay the % just to get the sign up bonus.

If I pay off the card weekly, will that have any affect on points?

Didn't want to start a thread so maybe this is a good thread for this. Looking to get my first credit card to try and get my credit score up a bit and pay it off every month. My credit score is 738. I don't plan on putting but a few hundred dollars a month on the card. I bank with Wells Fargo. Any recommendations on a credit card with some decent rewards? 738 should be good enough to get most right? Tia

Chase Freedom or Freedom Unlimited are good no fee cards. Wells Fargo cards might be good to look at if you get declined at Chase.

If you have a phone you bought new, WF has a credit card that offers $650 of phone insurance as long as you pay your phone bill with it. $25 deductible

Doesn't anyone have the Costco credit card? The points look pretty incredible on it.

Hey guys I'm looking for a card with a 0% introductory period to put a large purchase on ($10,000+).

The only card I could find with a 0% introductory rate AND a sign up bonus is the AMEX Everyday (10,000 points after spending $1,000 in first 3 months). Are there any other cards with both benefits?
