Fajitas are awesome
I've never had better fajitas anywhere else. The fajitas for one can easily feed two people.
Queso dip w/ ground beef and pico de gallo is off the chain.
Service is pretty fast at the BR location.

Fantastic. I could eat those tortillas with nothing on them.

The flour tortillas are made fresh, in house.

You don't say.
Best tortillas I've ever had.

Flour being the key word.

I always try to order new shite, but nothing tops the carne asada for me. So delicious.

My intention every time I go, but can't help ordering fajitas.

If you've never had the carne asada but love the fajitas it's worth a try. It's essentially steak fajitas with a very tasty cut of meat.

Going to order it next time I go... If I don't chicken out and order fajitas.

Duck quesadillas, shrimp & crawfish enchiladas are terrific.
Love the crab crepe 'enchiladas'!
Dunno about anyone else but I'm a fan of the shrimp diablo quesadillas. Love that sauce.
And normally sides are an afterthought at Mexican joints but I love many here and don't have an easy time picking. The grits, succotash, mashed potatoes are favorites. Hell even the basic rice is good.
I love me some Superior but I really like this place as well.

I've never been to CB and I'm not against going to trying it. But these menu items sound more like Louisiana Mexican fusion then Mexican food. Don't get me wrong the items sound good but sometimes I just want to eat somewhere that doesn't have Louisiana themed dishes. Give me charro beans, corn tortillas, lime in my ice tea, and telemundo on the TV.

My only gripe w/ CB is their salsa. It's pretty bad.

CB has the best charro beans i've ever eaten. That and their rice. They do have mexican/louisiana fusion items, but their strictly mexican dishes are fantastic. Don't let that sway you.

If you say the charro beans are legit then I'm going for lunch soon. Love me some good charro beans.

Their charro beans are the tits. Coyote Blues is the best restaurant in BR, IMHO.

So we went last night. Really enjoyed the place.
We had the chili cueso (sp) for and app.
She had the grilled chicken tacos (she's really basic), and I had the duck quesadilla.
Staff is really nice and the manager/owner/whatever he is (Mexican, Honduran?) came to make sure that we were alright.
It was priced good, so we didn't break bank.

Went for an early lunch just now and it was just as I expected. Got the chicken tacos and a side of charro beans. The chicken itself was good and had a very generous portion on each taco. Everything else about the taco was very underwhelming. Not a fan of chedder cheese on my tacos. In a bite without chicken it would be very hard for me to tell the difference between CB and Taco Bell in a blind taste test.
The charro beans tasted like they came out a can. Lacked the freshness and depths of flavor I love in a good charro beans. It was more of a cream style than a soup or stew. Doctored up blue runners is what crossed my mined while eating them. It could very well be just their Louisiana fusion version of charro beans.
Very reasonably priced, spent $14 with tip.
