re: Abigail Bonner -PLOT THICKENS (p.12)

Was it just me or did the mom have a weird smile the entire time she talked?

Y'all keep mentioning the "no car" thing but that's not all that odd. Maybe she needed to earn it or the family shared vehicles. Since they were homeschooled, I don't see that as very strange.

What was strange was the moms creepy smile the entire video. Weirded me out.

I doubt Butler Snow is handling criminal defense cases. Maybe White Collar Criminal Defense... maybe...

Neither parent seemed too upset about it.

Mike Denham.

Also, there's no way that $25,000 reward ever gets paid.

Yes just watched the video and it is creepy as frick. Neither had any emotion whatsoever.

ETA: 'We received information that seems to indicate that if Abagail is not in Madison or nearby, she may have made her way to the New York / New Jersey area. "

Judging by this quote from the Facebook page I would assume she ran away.

Saw a billboard this morning for her in Brandon. Just watched the video and her parents creep me out. They don't seem distraught at all that their daughter is missing. I think she had to have run away since they seem so nonchalant about the situation.

His wife seemed lower on the economic scale for him to be the COO of that firm don't you think?

Was kinda weird really.

ETA: Nothing in that video showed a lifestyle commensurate with that title, which can be good, but in this case, seemed strange.
They struck me as a snake-handling, non-leg-shaving holiness types. That can be a stifling existence for the women trapped in it.

She looks like the typical middle age Midwestern woman. Women in that part of the U.S. regardless of income level, do not put much effort or money into their appearance. Gray hair and no make up are pretty standard for those over 40 once you get out of major cities like Chicago. We are all just spoiled by the women of the South! Houses are the same way, a $700K house in WI may have the same Sqft as one in Dallas, but the finish and amenities look more like a 200K house in Dallas.

The only thing I really found surprising is that the girl was not going to college. Tells me she is either a free spirit rebelling against her parents or not smart enough to go. In either case she would be susceptible to running off with someone.

I would have to disagree with you on that.....now if you were to imply that home schooled kids MIGHT be a little socially awkward I would agree.

completely untrue dude. Weird parents who think the world is going to end put their kids through homeschooling. So once they are finished with homeschooling, they go out into the real world of violence and murder and mayhem and are completely unprepared for it. Kinda sad.

re: Abigail Bonner -PLOT THICKENS (p.12)

It's been obvious from the beginning that she ran away and her family knew this from the get go. It's my opinion that the families use of the word "missing" was insinuating foul play was involved to play on the sympathy of the public to help locate someone that left home on her own free will. Pretty shitty if you ask me.

Why did she run away? I'm sure we'll never know the exact reason but if I had to guess just from observing the facebook page and the videos, she has been oppressed her entire life and felt like her youth was being robbed at the hands of her parents religious/world views. Borderline child abuse imo. Hopefully she stays safe and at some point lets her parents know that she is safe.

I'm aware of the family through people. They are extremely strict religious, despite his position and money.

The reason they weren't upset is because they knew she was physically ok, she done R-U-N-N-O-F-T.

They haven't discovered where or why yet, but she probably met some dude online or something. She was extremely sheltered.

My daughter would be long gone.

She'd be easy to find though; just follow the credit card trail.
