Best BBQ should be that place in Southaven right off 55. Forgot the name.

Best Appetizer: Guacamole Babalu Tacos & Tapas-Jackson

I was happy to see Babalu on the list. Doubt that out of all the appetizers made in MS their Guac is the best but I like it A LOT.

Yeah I don't think they should be #1. I haven't found a burger better than babalu's although sometimes you just get into personal preferences.

I've heard great things about it as well. I'll have to give it a try the next time I'm in town.

coffee

The Mockingbird is the local coffee shop, they have a big, nice espresso machine. I don't think I've had their coffee though I'm sure it's quality.

Cannella's on the hwy has a little espresso machine that they make macchiatos with. I get them to leave off whatever makes it that, sugar I'm guessing, and I end up loving the double shot from them.

The Sycamore House is our gourmet joint that I'm sure slings good coffee with brunch.

Yea, there are about 5 better burgers in Jackson than Mugshots

Babalu's is probably the best I've had here. Majestic Burger is good. Char's burger is good. Rooster's is good. I don't know why I haven't gone to Burgers and Blues yet.

Sal and Mookies pizza is better than Soulshine

Julep Fried Chicken is garbage. It was cold and dry when I had it.

Me and my wife go to Sakura Bana atleast once a week so I'm happy to see them on there for Best Sushi.

I've had it at least 6 or 7 times and it was great every time.

Best Fine Dining: Walker's Drive-In
Jackson

Walkers is nice enough, but wouldn't think of them as really fine dining. Their sister restaurant in Madison is much nicer.

best Hamburger: Mugshots (WTF!)

Laughable. The Eat Jackson burger contest did it much better and I agree that the Baba burger and Table 100 are two of the best in the area.

Best Mexican Food: Oscar's Cantina
Hattiesburg

Never ate there, but the best authentic Mexican food has to be La Guadalupe; always fresh and excellent.

Best New Restaurant: The Rubba Boot Crawfish Co.
Starkville

This restaurant is owned by my buddy's sister. I'm glad to see they're doing well. When you bring Cajun food to the Landmass, good things are bound to happen.

Local 463 is probably my favorite restaurant in the area. I'm a big fan of Ely's also.

I love Babalu's guacamole. Majestic Burger was ok, but I LOVED Parlor Market's PM Burger. I'm shocked they weren't mentioned in Burger catagory or fine dining. The best thing I have had at Julep so far is that Tuna Tartare app. Will def be trying Sakura Bana soon.

Sakura Bana is a nice sushi joint. We hit it every chance we get.

Never had Big Mamma's tamales, but if they're better than Maria's Famous Hot Tamales in Greenville, they must be awesome.
