A recruit from Lutcher High School will be pitching for LSU next year. The kids about 6'1" and left handed. He hit 93 mph last summer, but pitches between 88-90 consistently. His curveball is sick and so is his change up. I've got a feeling that their pitching squad will be awesome next year as it is this year

Dr poches son, sibling to Dylan, Corey, and Cameron Poche, Corey pitched for two years at nicholls state university but wasn't nowhere near as good as Jared

From all I hear he will be a major player for us next year.

I saw him returning kicks in football 2 years ago. All I could think about was how dumb an idea that was on so many levels for a talented left handed pitcher. I don't believe he played football this year.

He didn't I think he traveled with marruci and focused solely on baseball, not only is he a sick pitcher he was the best and most powerful hitter on their team and he could switch hit if he wants too. Dudes just good

Any chance he gets drafted high and goes pro?

Yeah he said if they give him a million on sign up he will probably go straight to a minor league team

A big lefty with a sick curve AND off speed pitch, I havent seen him but it seems like he will get taken pretty early.

I've watched the kid pitch a few times and it's almost insane how good this kid actually is, he makes it look so easy and he's so damn competitive. He will get drafted I jut don't know how high, he's commited to LSU but may be drafted and go to the pros time will only tell. He's enjoying to watch; someone that young and that good is almost unheard of

I have seen him pitch in person, and he is as good of a high school pitcher as I have seen. I have seen others throw harder, this guy pitches! Mixes it up well, location, changing speeds, very tough to get a good swing off of this kid. Also a very good hitter. I was very impressed and he will do big things!

After what I saw him do in the state finals this year, I can't wait for this guy to get to campus. St. Thomas More's lineup is full of next level players and one of the best hitting teams I have seen in HS. He made them look like a JV squad.

Seen some projections that have him going in the 7-10 Round range.

Poche' is defintely LSU pitcher, but I can't say he was better in HS than Nola was because he isn't. Poche' is a better hitter than Aaron Nola was. I also thought forrest Moore was better and more complete as a senior in HS.
Poche's pitches around 87 although he can get a little extra. The two times I saw him he changed speeds some and was effective, and he showed a nasty curve that he didn't throw much and he seemed to use it when he was ahead in the count and not as a regular pitch.
He was a bulldog on the mound and with runners on base he was very tough to hit.
Being a lefty is a plus too, but I can't see him as a first round draft pick. His arm isn't that strong; nor is his other pitches that polished.
I think he can help us right away.
