re: Career Government Employees...You Need to Make News

I am going to retire in 2015 and ride into the sunset. I will do it with a clear conscience, knowing that I did my job with a high level of integrity and professionalism.

Most do not want to be Teague'd.

I don't think they investigate anonymous ethics complaints anymore.

You are totally correct. Our employers will just crush us if we dare to speak out. They take us for granted and citizens hate us because they thing we are lazy and over compensated. Most citizens think of government experiences like gong to the DMV or having some negative experience with the Police. They automatically think that ALL government workers are like that.

I've been in government since the late 80's and has it changed since I started. I look forward to getting my constitutional rights back.

Think I'll just try to be a decent, non-freeloading human being and work my way up the chain. I'm probably more valuable to the cause remaining in the system than getting myself blackballed.

I didn't think so, but I won't argue with one as bright as you.

But it's pretty easy to say all that on an anonymous internet message board without your livelyhood and family's financial security on the line.

The men (yes, I said men) who founded this country had no trouble putting their lives and family security on the line for what they believed was right. Washington, Jefferson, Adams, et al would have all been hanged for treason if England had prevailed in the war.

yes. its kinda hard to explain to civilians cause a lot of it would sound pretty petty. insubordinance, or the appropriate term, covers a lot .
