but I couldn't find it. I'm sure you all are sick of this question but I have to ask anyway.
The wife and I are coming to New Orleans in a month on a limited budget. We have already been to Stella's, August, Clancy's and such and are going once again. to Commmander's Palace this trip.
I was wondering about some lower budget, good eats, perhaps for dinner not just lunch. We already have Casamento's and Oceana Grill, any others you all would recommend? FQ, CBD, Uptown? We are staying at the Lowe's? Please no Mother's suggestion. All help is greatly appreciated.

Butcher for lunch would be fairly cheap. You could walk.

Thanks Threeput! I hadn't considered those. This is the first time we have been home when money wasn't considered, however this time we have to be a little more frugal. I thank you1

Take the streetcar uptown and hit Magazine St. All kinds of great options there from french like Coquette, Lillette, Bouligny, La Petite Grocery, Martinique Bistro,
and also great lunch fare from the likes of Gott Gourmet, Stein's Deli, Atchafalaya etc.

Nice way to spend an afternoon away from the CBD and the Quarter.

Thank you all so much! Our anniversary is on a Monday the 27th of May. Any recomendations for a quiet, romantic dinner around a $100 for two? Sorry to bug I just know, that ya'll know better than me.

Drop Oceana from the list. Restaurant August has a fantastic three course price fixe....maybe do your big deal anniversary meal at lunch.

On a budget, I'd recommend Muriel's in the FQ. Great, great food, and the prices are very reasonable. The have a prix fixe menu that has some really good choices on it. $38/person for 3 courses.

I believe Casamento's will be closed by then. Check to make sure when it closes for the summer.

Domenica can be done inexpensively.

Vincent's is another great suggestion.

Drop Oceania, trust me.

Yall could go to Root and split a few of their small plates. Excellent restaurant in the CBD.
