Was excellent as usual

They made me a pork belly that was off the menu. We ordered roasted artichokes from the tasting menu as apps.... And their P&J oysters. I love those oysters.

1 special was a softshell crab set in a verde hollandaise type sauce. Was very good.

One dining partner had jumbo lump crabmeat over speck trout with a side in which i cannot remember. I am so sorry. Decided this was best meal at the table. We were told beforehand.

My friend ordered this after having the trout the night before at Herbsaint.... And said August blew it away.

I had the lamb loin with lime andouille risotto. Really good.... But this time Herbsaint wins. I had the lamb neck the night before at Herbsaint and that was one of the better meals I have ever had. Seriously.

We played dessert derby... The banana dessert was the dish that won the most recent Southern Living's Best Dessert.

Sorry for the choppy review.... Im on my phone killing time.

That trout dish is outstanding and the deconstructed banana pudding really stacks up to the hype. Last time I was there, we ordered it again to pass around the table after finishing the first round of dessert.

I want that August lamb loin dish in front of me right now.

The Herbsaint lamb dish on the other hand looks like an aesthetic train wreck.

Herbsaint lamb pic was rushed and not worthy of posting.... But was absolutely incredible. Thats lamb bacon too.....

I paused before I posted, but did anyway. Do not let that pic deter ur dining objective

It's not the camera, there's so much going on in that dish that it looks like a Jackson Pollock painting, almost like it was made by an overly ambitious chef on "Chopped". I have no doubt that it was tasty, just an observation on the busy plating.

If a busy plate means a plate with a healthy portion of food on it then sign me for team busy plate. But I admittedly am lacking in the couth and refinition department.

Funny...a Jackson Pollock painting is the first thing that jumped into my head when I saw neck roast on a plate, too.
