Huntington Beach, California has just as high a ratio of red necks as any town in Louisiana. Seriously, the place is full of country boys with affliction shirts, 4X4 trucks with confederate bumper stickers and tribal band bicep tats. So, I guess Huntington Beach, California is in The South, even though it isn't in the South?

You should add Bakersfield, Grover Beach, Oceano, and Nipomo to the list of Southern areas. I saw two rednecks on Grover Beach last week with a confederate flag on back their truck.

Google Fiber is 100 times faster than your broad band internet

It is the best thing to happen to the internet since the internet. Also if you happen to live in a neighborhood which has Google Fiber and you don't want to pay $120 per month for it, they will give you regular broadband (at current speeds) for free.

Seriously, I don't think there isn't more admirable company in the world currently than Google. They revolutionized Mapping (you can street view the Mount Everest now for crying out loud!). They will be the first with driver-less car technology. They do so many things amazingly well.

My brother has FIOS at his house. There is no way it is 100 times faster than that. His internet connection doesn't download songs; it swallows them in one bite. It's every bit as fast as if you were copying the file over from a thumb drive.

And you're not gonna get faster than with a wifi signal. So, even if Google Fiber is absurdly faster than Fios, it's going to amount to the same speed practically speaking....the max throughput supportable by the wife protocol.

Well then I guess it's a good thing that the 802.11ac protocol has a theoretical max of 1.3Gbps. Also if you want the most stable connection you use cables anyway. I personally have every room wired and capable of gigabit speeds with multiple access points spread throughout the house...
