Does anyone ever wait until a series is over to watch it?

I'm interested in watching Game of Thrones and a few other popular shows but I might wait until they wrap the series' of those shows up to watch all of the seasons in one sweep.

My line of thinking is that if a show is really that great like people are saying it is, why not wait until it's over so you can watch everything in one sweep? It would save yourself the hassle of waiting several months for a new season and a week or two for a new episode.

I think I'm gonna start doing this for a few shows.

I wait a lot of times up to two seasons. This way I don't start liking a show that A) gets canceled or B) writing goes to shite quickly.

I figure the TV buffs will keep the shows afloat that need to be.

Reasonable.

I learned my lesson on this with Last Resort a few months ago when they cancelled it even though it had potential.

Fortunately, I've never expierenced this. It's bound to happen to me sometime soon though.

I'm aware of that.

But it'll be worth it when I sit down for a few weeks of epic TV viewing in the form of Game of Thrones and all of its seasons in my possession.

I wait for almost everything.

Except Mad Men and sit-coms.

But waited until the start of Season 5 of Breaking Bad and then just plowed through the series before the final season started.

I've been doing it but it can be tough avoiding spoilers.

I did GOTII.

I've watched every season of Boardwalk Empire after the seasons were done.

Same with Dexter.

Survivor and a few other reality shows.

I have always been in line with this thinking.

It's much more enjoyable.

I have a good bit of shows I keep up with currently, but I do like to wait until they are at least in season 3 to pick it up.

Right now, I'm watching The Shield. I have gone through four seasons in about a week or two and it's been a fantastic two weeks of TV. No waiting for episodes, no waiting for new seasons. It's the best.

No because you're bound to run into spoilers if you wait too long. There have been a number of episodes from Dexter that have been ruined for me because of that.

Misread. I don't wait for a series to end but I do wait for seasons to end sometimes.

Maybe not hassle but it takes care of that situation. A couple of my friends were going nuts waiting for this new season of GoT.

If I'm really interested in the show and its premise, I will consider waiting until it's a few seasons in or it's completely over.

It sucks having to wait every week, but at the same time it gives you something to look forward too. I've never had a lot of shows I watch weekly but it's nice having one night of TV to look forward too.

Walking Dead just ended so I think I'm going to catch up on Game of Thrones so I can start watching them every Sunday. Should tide me over until Breaking Bad which will tide me over until Walking Dead again so there won't be many dead weeks.

I don't agree with doing this for GoT. Other shows yeah I guess

But for GoT some of the greatness of it is the suspense and making conclusions and trying to figure out what's gonna happen and wtf is this person doing etc
