BTW our RPI will likely be around 80 even with a loss tomorrow. That is probably enough to get in.

I think probably is too strong of a word. If we lose, I'd put our chances at around 40% given the way other games have played out so far.

Not with Purdue and Ga Tech going down today. I give it a 75% , assuming we don't get beat by 30 tomorrow.

I think we still need a little help but I think we are close. If the SEC is a four team league in the NCAA then we would be the third likely SEC for the NIT. I think it was really big for UGA and ARK to lose today. We will see, keep it close tomorrow!

Louisiana Tech just lost in their tourney. So there is another bid taken away.

I was looking up a few projections and most had LSU out of it before today, but this one has LSU as a 4 seed as of today

Another conference champion chokes in the conference tournament. Thanks, Tech. Lost to a team with 8 wins on the year.

What would be the chances LSU plays in the College Basketball Invitational if they miss the NIT? Just curious cause I've never new it existed and its been around since 2008.

We didn't have an NIT home game last season.

That would be great. Unless we just pull off the shocker and win the SEC tourney

Just looking at numbers:

2012:
LSU RPI: 90
NIT Automatic Bids: 11
LSU Record: 18-15

So far in 2013:
LSU RPI: 81
NIT Automatic Bids: 7
LSU Record: 19-11

I'm thinking LSU is in as of right now. A win tomorrow would absolutely clinch it. I know the NCAA bubble is pretty damn weak which isn't good for us (neither is the SEC being a shite show), but I think they are in. Hosting is another matter entirely, but since that's a bid process it's not out of the question.

A&M and Arky both poopoo'd down their legs tonight so that's more good for us.
