Seiklay and Pearl Washington (because he always was so hyped) were worse. Coleman at least was good. Sherman Douglas bugged me as all he did was throw lobs.

There should've been a Duke region, a "gritty white kid" region, a "thug" region, and a criminal division. But that wouldn't be politically correct.

Did people hate Austin Rivers last year? I don't watch regular season Cbb and was out of country for the entire tourney.

. Not only was he a worthless white post player. He took all the credit for OSU's run to the Final Four when it was Rutherford who was playing out of his mind.

Reeves led this in scoring every game of the tourney except 1.

22.2 PPG

they beat UMass & Wake with Tim Duncan & Marcus Camby on them

Rutherford 18 PPG

I honestly have no idea why he would be on the list over other Duke players. He played one year and never did anything particularly offensive, other than having 'swag,' and even then, he paled in comparison to players like Devendorf and Marshall Henderson.

Patrick Ewing was an unbelievable beast in college and Georgetown was percieved as the biggest group of thugs in basketball.

Michael Graham is the guy that made their perception. Until the FF in Seattle Georgetown wasn't considered thugs.

Rivers was a mouthy cocky rich kid who was hateable enough by himself then he went Duke. Henderson hate is confined almost entirely to SEC fans.

The guys from Grantland have always thought he was trash on the court skill wise. Maybe they let that cloud their judgement. I agree, plenty of other Duke players I'd put in over Rivers.

By thug, I meant dirty, cheap, excessively intimidating. A lot of those players don't break the law.

I just don't think one year is enough, especially when there are players like Jon Scheyer who stuck around forever. Outside of ACC fans, how many people bothered to watch Rivers play more than 2 college games?

Henderson would be much more hated had he played on a relevant team

Like 75% of Duke games are on ESPN so most people who watch college basketball had seen him more than twice.
