The deal will sell the Kings for approximately $500 million, with the Seattle group seeking relocation to Key Arena for the 2013-'14 season.

Ironic that Seattle could be robbing another great fanbase of their team.

Just like Baltimore did to Cleveland.

Sacramento was never big enough to deserve a team in the first place...

Deserve? It pretty much comes down to owners who are broke to own a professional team and lack the funds to operate on a full time basis.

Doesn't OKC own the name? Or wasn't there a weird agreement that both cities would carry the Sonics history? Anyway, the team should be called the Sonics.

They better replace Key Arena after 2013-2014... that place was a big reason why they left in the first place. Awesome location in Seattle but the facility itself is a dump.

no...
it comes down to whether they deserve as a city to be mentioned with the Seattles and Los Angeleses of the world. they don't and the NBA will be much better off back in Seattle

The ownership group already owns the property for a new arena. The plans are currently in the review/approval process by the city. It's going to be right by Qwest and Safeco

Great fanbase during the early-mid 2000's, but one of the worst for years now. Attendance rank:
2008 - 27th
2009 - 30th
2010 - 29th
2011 - 29th
2012 - 27th
2013 - 30th
