Will Smith, Roman Harper, Sedric Ellis, Devery Henderson will probably go. All of our efforts need to focus on defense. If there is some way to sign Mike Wallace and stay under the cap, I would do it.

Hopeful departures: Will Smith, Roman Harper, Scott Shanle, Will Herring, Jonathan Cassilas, Sed Ellis, Turk Mcbride, Jonny Patrick, Devery Henderson, Courtney Roby,
Hopeful signings: Dashon Goldson(SF), Micheal Johnson(CIN), Cliff Avril(DET), Shaun Philips(SD), Glenn Dorsey(KC), Brent Grimes(ATL), Jake Long(MIA)

If we got just 1 of the following I'd be happy:
But some of those are bank busters.

Don't have the cap to make half those signings. Jake Long alone would probably put us over the cap.
And I'd rather have Moore than Goldson since we'd be stealing him from a division rival.
I'd like Avril or Johnson, but we can't get them both. Especially with Cam Jordan and Junior Gallette.
Why do you want Glenn Dorsey? He hasn't done anything in the NFL. I wouldn't mind bringing him in on a one year 'show me' contract, but I can't say he's any better than Hicks or Bunkley.

Dorsey?
Homer, he's a bigger bust then Sed.

Dude we MAY be able to afford ONE of these guys. You basically put down a list of the most expensive available free agents outside of Dorsey(who fricking sucks)

Madden has gassed up so many fans to think they can just assemble a team of all stars without any cap implications. This isn't baseball where you can balloon a team's payroll up without reprocussions.
I'm still dying laughing at this post & the fact this dude thinks Glenn Dorsey is worth a damn.

Just a few FA off the top my head. I know we wouldn't be able to afford all of them, just hopeful for 1 or 2 of them. As far as being a homer, I'm very far from it but Dorsey can't be any worse then Ellis plus he would be cheap. Just like when we signed Shaun Rogers and Abrayo Franklin, cheap deals to see if they work out. Just calm down

Disagree on Lofton. He's easily the best player on our D.
Agreed- Bad signing? I don't think so, he is where Vilma was a couple of years ago, he is a quality building block for the D.

Not that I want him, but Dorsey got fricked being drafted by KC. He is NOT a 3-4 NT. I'd like to see what he can do in a 4-3 as a pure DT

Yea I'm not sure why people are laughing at Dorsey. He's going to be an All Pro in a 4-3 scheme.
Dude made 54, 69, and 62 tackles as a 3-4 DT the past 3 seasons before getting hurt this year. That's pretty damn impressive. Not to mention his play freed up Hali, Gilberry and Houston to get to the QB.
1st of all, there are only a handful of DTs that get to the QB, much less 3-4 DTs. Considering the main job of the 3-4 DT is to eat up the run, id say Dorsey did a good job. Most of those guys are 330+ lbs.
If Dorsey comes back healthy, he could be a Suh type DT in a 4-3. Too bad he wasted 5 years in KC

I don't think he'll be as good as suh, but I would bet any money he'd be a lot better than ellis. for a million, I would do it in a heartbeat. he's a monster at stopping the run, and I'm sure with a 4-3 system he could get some pressure on the QB

Suh type player.. Great at stuffing the run while being disruptive in the backfield like back in his LSU days

lol oops, thought you were comparing him to suh's level. As much as a bitch suh is, I still think 31 other teams will try to get him come free agency

Dorsey played in a 3-4 scheme as a DT. Guess what? A 3-4 defense isn't designed to let the linemen get the glory. Its a linebacker friendly defense. When will people understand this?
And I wouldn't call either of those players busts.
Now, somebody like Jonathon Sullivan? Now there is a bust my friend

If the board got it's way we'd be fielding 11 new starters on the defense and 3 new starters on the o-line.
