$20 an entree or less, nice, and in the quarter will be a bit of a struggle - any preference on food types?

she wanted to do dragos but the price point was not right.
i guess maybe a little over $20 is ok.

They are from Houston, any type of cuisine I guess.

That's tough.

Eat (corner of Dauphine and Dumaine. Big money saver is that it's BYOB and no corkage for the first bottle...BUT...I think the most they can put at a table is 10. It's a small, quaint place.) LINK

Other recs...

Sobou
Sylvain (about 1/2 of the entrees are below $20 and 1/2 are over)
Adolfo (Marigny)

Tough order. Over your budget, but just in case..., Muriel's has a 3 course meal for $37.95 and it's a very good restaurant with a nice atmosphere overlooking Jackson Square.

Sylvain might fit your needs.

Cafe Giovanni has a number of entrees in that price range (Just below and just above $20) and it's very good.

Arnauds has a casual place next door to their place. It's called Remoulade and the prices look reasonable.
