I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around losing $150 on it just because I function tested it with 50 rounds when I finished putting it together. If I have to I'll offer it as a complete "pistol" with a pistol lower I have laying around. Maybe a complete gun will add more value to it.

There are a few reason why. Mainly because the AR market is flooded with cheap parts and someone looking to spend $600 on an upper without BCG/CH is going to build it to their specs themselves or buy one from a manufacturer. You've got some good parts on there, but it takes a specific person to want that exact setup. It may take a while to find that exact person. Also, in the gun world used it used. Even though manufacturers test fire their guns it doesn't matter. 50 rounds through a gun a random guy built might as well be 300 rounds. Lastly, it's because you built it. You may have executed the build perfectly, but you don't have any credibility or a warranty. A franken-build is usually worth less than the sum of it's parts. Something is only worth what the next guy is willing to pay, or how quick the current guy wants it gone.

I totally understand, I have looked over prices before posting it. Finally was able to sell it at $600 today.

So, I finally got some time at the range yesterday and was able to put some rounds through my AR. I have a DD V3 upper, spikes tactical lower, DD LPK, and magpul furniture. I enjoy the gun and it shoots great, however I shot my buddy's Colt and the recoil was significantly less on his. Just wondering what could be some things that cause his to have less recoil then mine? I know weight has a lot to do with it but the guns seemed to be pretty comparable weight wise.

Is it a midlength or carbine gas system?

recently picked up 2 stripped AR lowers... Not really sure what I'll do with them yet but figured I'd grab them while they're cheap.

Alvin called me at 8am saying they were in. I'm off today, so I bolted straight up there. I don't mind bringing it by this afternoon so you can check it out, if you want.
ETA: Speaking of Alvin, can't say enough good things about the whole process up there. He made it painless, even stayed late one day so I could get my applications in the mail ASAP.

Rock solid, zero movement/wobble whatsoever. I'll give a range report to see how it holds up after putting some rounds down range.

I'm looking for barrel recommendations. Gun will be a shooting range queen, maybe 500 to 1k rounds per year. More on the budget side of things, but I'll spend a little more for quality. Not shooting much a very long ranges. At most will probably be 300 yards. Just looking for reliable, accurate, and budget friendly.

I want 16" mid length.

PSA has their premium on sale for $139.00

I saw Green Mountain has exactly what I'm looking for for $157, even chrome lined. I're read very good reviews on their barrels.

Or KAK is running a deal on contract surplus barrels. 16" is $110 and melonite coated. Only issue is it's carbine gas length. Is it worth it to go carbine for that price on the barrel?

Any other suggestions in that price range?

Alvin tried to sell me heroin and a thai ladyboy.

Or maybe that was somewhere else
