this is what worries me about miles, he only has one year with less than 2 losses and that was last year and his one loss was much worse than just a normal loss.
He appears to be mark richt with a national title

He can win a big game, but he can also lose a game he has no business losing also (see 2007). And he consisently gives inferior teams very good chances to beat us. He's a good coach, but I think LSU can definitely do better

without going through all the games since 05 id bet he is actually near the top as far as winning the games he should. The issue is he makes those wins we should have as nerve racking as possible. Then he is probably pretty level as far as winning games that are toss ups but the playing up and down hurts his perception. He does have a great win percent but I think the problem comes with how he manages to lose the games and the ones he loses such as the nc last year and bama this year. I also think his lack of anger and his problems in the press make things way worse on here. He just doesn't appear to be in control and his ingame coaching is lacking along with clock management

20 years from now he will have 10-15 seasons of 10+ wins. Probably a couple more national titles and the sec titles to match.

And it will be all luck.

we will see about the national titles. If he doesn't change his in game coaching and get a legit oc who knows if we can win another title. I think next year is a good shot at one considering how many younger guys were forced in this year.

Miles had a great game plan for bama, he fricked it up though by ingame coaching like we were unranked against a team that can't be beat.

Go figure. Saban did near the same thing last year at Bama vs. LSU.

Coaches make decisions. Ain't as easy as NCAA 12.

I doubt this.

as opposed to your on cue sardonic, smarter-than-thou and overly pithy reply? how fricking drole.

geeze, maybe he should have started a thread about how this year was JJ's fault. now there's some meat on that bone for all the whining twats.

STFU and be happy we aren't Iowa or something.

Or something...I think that's the message.

Yes, and as we make ourselves feel better saying "well at least we aren't an Iowa or Kentucky," Alabama wins another championship

When Miles picks his arse then smells it on the sideline and espn shows it on sportscenter will this be enough to convince y'all it time for a néw coach

No way, it ain't gonna change your miserable, grouchy life.

Lucky for you though, the season is almost over and you can go back to bitching about how puppies shite all over the place.

If Miles played Bama face up we would be getting ready for UGA

If all the other teams don't colossally screw up in 2007, Les has a whole lot of good seasons but not a whole lot to show for it. I don't want to just be relevant consistently, I want us to win it all every now and then. I'm not sure that Les is capable of a true championship season, and that's what worries me

It works both ways. All the other teams except Bama colossally screwed up last year. If any one of them hadn't we'd have played somebody else for the MNC. Do you believe that we'd have lost to any team other than Bama in that game?

Defense should stop going prevent at the end of games. (this is a national phenomenon I will never understand, I get the reasoning but why change what has worked)

Because the offense has changed what it's doing and the situation is different. You're not playing the same offense that your defense beat for the first 55 minutes of the game. Everything is situational. Your defense needs to respond to the new situation.

Now do coaches sometimes go to a soft zone too soon? Yeah, I'll agree with you there. But there are a lot of times when a defensive coordinator will happily trade yards and points for time.
