Yes indeed... Best Rice and Beans ever served in a styrofoam bowl.
I love this.

I'll buy one to find out what they put in those beans, so that you can hardly even finish one bowl.

I damn sure will buy one. That those red beans were considered a vegetable on the lunch buffet was just crazy...crazy good.

I'm gonna buy one.
Been getting my soul food fix at Cafe Express almost every other week these last years.
Haven't made it to the store/kitchen off Bawell just yet.

RB, if you're site is thecajunstore dot com, it nearly gave me a heart attack with that music when I clicked on it and there's an ad for "Bad Girls" at the bottom of the page. I was afraid to click into the store for fear I'd get some virus or be sent to a porn site.

GG...loosen up baby. A virus or porn site will do you some good!

Get off the hooch, Otis. It's gets you in trouble as the night goes on.

I ain't even started to hooch...at least not full speed.

Lawd a mercy, then!
You go to the site and make sure you have your speakers on and see what happens. I'm not going back.

She's been working on it for awhile, glad its out. Think I'll get one and take her to her to sign it. Oh, and have lunch while I'm there.

Man, i'm definitely getting that book. That place was unbelievable to eat at on a cold day when you were hungry.

Damn, if she could only find real estate near campus again it would be a boon to the diets of so many people. Smothered Chicken and assembled sides will do about three meals for way under ten bucks, I never had the chance to do wiegh it, but I figure a to go box to be about seven lbs. The overwhelming wealth of crap that is served now is pathetic that it is all the students are accustomed to crap.

I've been around the university for decades, going down there to eat with Dad when I was a kid, and there hasn't ever been any place that served better food, especially at the prices she charged. Everything had brown gravy, even her spaghetti.
The work crew used to talk about her thumb beans. One of the old guys that helped her (she always gave jobs to those that needed them) used to bring the styrofoam bowls out with his thumb down in the beans. He'd put the bowl down, lip smack his thumb, then go get the next round.

Am I just retarded, or does this not really explain where they will be on sale? All I see is buying them at some church. Will they be made available for purchase on the site you linked?

This white boy got her to take sugar out of her cornbread recipe. Her herb supply was very good too.

Sounds like y'all were having a cocktail last night. Only bad girl I've seen was the one I live with who poured the last glass of wine out of the bottle last night and went to bed. It was a good wine and I was left with the essence.
And I'll buy the cookbook in support.
