Debating in what to get. If u had to pick between the two which and why? Mostly be grilling with occasional smoked rubs, pork, brisket.

I have a Holland Grill. Check'em out before you get the egg or Weber.

Holland is a great grill.

I should have said it would be a weber genesis propane grill.

I've got the Weber Performer and a Smoke-a-nater add on. Great set up for regular grilling or smoking.

One of the best setups for the money is to get a Weber Performer and a Weber Smokey Mountain. The Weber Performer can be use for any grilling and can also do some smoking. The Weber Smokey Mountain would be used for your long smokes.
Total would run you about $700 for both.

Both are great... I had a weber performer before my BGE. The weber is a great grill but the BGE wins for temp control and efficiency. I can do a 14+ hour cook with one load of charcoal. I wouldn't believe the whole "BGE just makes food taste better" hype. It is a great grill that does some things really well but it doesnt magically make food better than any other grill.

Those are really two different types of grills.
I have the Weber Genesis and can't wait to get a BGE.

yes, but they are 2 good grills to compare. Tons of people own a weber kettle and I'd imagine a good bit of those people have thought about a BGE and what kind of change it would be from the Weber.

He's comparing the Weber Genesis and the BGE. Not a Weber Kettle.

I have a wber kettle and a Jenn-air gas. My Primo is on the way. Once I get it the other two are headed to the lake.

Is there any difference between a Primo and a BGE?

Minimal from what I understand. The primo is oval shape and offers a little more cooking area. I was also told the dome is also a little taller and it is completely built in the USA whereas the BGE is only assembled in ther USA.

I've had two of the Weber Performer and I'm getting a Kamado Joe this time.

I have both and the green egg is way better but also way more expensive.
