I'm wanting to try Old Cuevas Bistro. I think it is on Menge. Check it out and let us know how you like it.

Some guy just called Fitz raving about Ricky's in BSL. He acted like it was legit

i live down here. Don't go to tripanis, you will be disappointed. If you want to eat on the beach front go to North Beach. If you want better food in BSL go to the Sycamore House which is a couple blocks off the beach. In Pass Christian there is Wolfe's across the Hwy from the shite hole Shaggys. Just up the way heading east from Wolfe's, take a turn north on Menge Ave and go to Old Cuevas Bistro. Very good food. Sycamore House, Wolfe's and Old Cuevas. Cant go wrong with either.... i'd hit North Beach if you have to eat on the water.

Oh and Ricky's is good if you want the typical fried this and that.... but thats about all you can get there with the exception of a couple dishes...

Thanks Herbert for the recs. I have heard many say Shaggy's for drinks, but skip the grub. I was planning on Wolfs, but will now check out the Bistro. Not sure the kids would appreciate Sycamore. Order Pizza for the young aults and make them watch the little ones while the grown ups go to Sycamore, perhaps. Thanks again.

We ate a North Beach for lunch one day, was headed to Trapani's, but they must have weird hours bc they were closed. NB was really good, everything our table got was delicious, and service was great- we had never been to the area and were looking at the pics of Katrina damage and our server brought out a could of books for us to look at. Good location, too. Wanted to hit up Sycamore house but didn't have time. Thanks to whoever recommended Tato-nut donuts though, my boyfriend the donut lover decreed them best donuts he has ever had ( and we find a local donut shop every time we travel)
