I know that. So u are going with jones had nothing to do with it and never gave earl a dollar because the NCAA didn't prove it. I am not that naive. Auburn didn't cheat with cam newton because it couldn't be proven.

And don't say it's cause he's at North Texas, Tyndall recruited a top 15 class at Morehead!

Can you tell me what year this top 15 class happened? Looks made up to me...

Do you think recruiting for basketball is clean for the most part? I'm talking about the stuff no one hears about?

I'm honestly getting the feeling that we aren't as pretty as we think we are. We might be forced to get someone that is unproven or has baggage and pray for the best. It sucks but that might just be the way it is.

Haha dude please step away from the computer... You are not comprehending anything.

Was Donovan's resume enough to warrant Florida hiring him? PLEASE answer that question for me.

From the people that matter, yes. By that, I'm referring to the fans and Alleva (he has at least given the impression that he wants to win the "right way").

It didn't have to be.

Billy Donovan is a Rick Pitino disciple. UF's administration saw that and figured that with access to the money printing press they have there in Gainesville, he was worth taking a gamble on. Two national championships later, it would appear that gamble paid off.

Dale Brown =/= Rick Pitino. Not even close.

And LSU < UF in terms of money.

You need to find a better point of comparison than Donovan. You're arguing a loser here.

What exactly is your point? Simply because Donovan coached under Pitino he is immediately a better candidate than Jones, even though Donovan only had 2 years experience as a head coach?

That's weak at best.

I'd say that alone qualifies as a better resume' than 11 years at a Sun Belt School with a 190-146 overall record (91-88 in conference). THAT is weak at best.

Hey, shill for the guy all you want. But like I said, you're riding a losing horse w/ the comparisons to Donovan.

I doon't know, maybe you don't think LSU can do better than JJ.

You're the goofball who wants to use 2yrs as a sample size to say someone regressed.

Johnny Jones is 127-68 since 2006-07.

North Texas has ZERO basketball history. The amount of success you have is always graded relative to where you are coaching at.

The only reason I am comparing Jones to Donovan is because Donovan was not proven before Florida hired him. You can make a comparison to Jones now.

I obviously don't consider two years long enough of a sample size to grade a trend in a program...You are continuously missing all points made in this argument. Donovan was not proven. That was my only point. Got it now?

He's a good coach and gets the most out of his players. He's been holding out for an opportunity to coach at LSU. I wouldn't be opposed to hiring him. Unless Shaka would leave VCU of course...
