It's pretty good if you have one nearby that is not insanely crowded all of the time.

I like it for the gas prices at the Sam's on my way home from work. Beats the hell out of most of the other ones around.

Meat selection and price is hard to beat. And if you find yourself needing a 5 gallon bucket of mayo you can get that too.

I've never met anyone with a membership who regretted it.

It's like $40 a year to join, and you can easily get that back in savings

As others have said, good quality meat for the price. Ziplocks are cheap... You will find certain things that you use and buy and buy them every trip.

Worth it for the rotisserie chickens, USDA choice meat, good cheese selection/value.

Some good take and bake items (chicken enchilladas).

Not to mention the bulk dry goods.

Never thought the beer/liquor/soft drinks was that great of a deal.

Hot dog combo for lunch is around $2, for a quick meal.

Yea. Also foil pans. You tired of taking one up the poop chute when you buy foil pans? Have no fear. Sams club will sell you a shitload for cheap. Good sturdy ones too.

We like it. We also have a family of six so, like others said, meat, paper products and things like that are good to get there.
I guess it depends on which Sam's you go to as to how the lines and things are. The one we go to isn't bad at all.

As others have said, some things make it worth it, some things are priced similarly to other stores, only in larger quantities. Meat is definitely a good deal, if you want to buy in bulk and freeze it. Check your expiration dates and think about whether you will really use all of that stuff before it goes bad.

One thing that's bugging me lately is the CONSTANT pressuring from cashiers to upgrade to the Advantage Plan (I think it's about $100 compared to regular membership fee of $40). No, I don't want to upgrade. We had it a few years ago and NEVER took advantage of the "special savings", etc. BS. You do not need to ask me 3 times during one transaction--the answer will still be NO.

Huge Coke and Nathan's 1/4 pound Hotdog with mustard and a bagof kettle chips $2.75. Saturday lunch almost every week.

We buy car and truck tires there.

Toilet paper, Coffee, NY strip steaks, Fillets, Hearts of Romaine lettuce, Avacadoes, Photo copy paper, Propel Water, Dixie cups, bread, Work in the yard t-shirts, white sox, protein powder, bla bla bla.

card pays for itself way over.

However - Worth it for the hot dog and chips alone.

Absolutely worth it. Even a single guy will save far more than the membership fee over the course of the year.

I think it's worth it. As someone said earlier, I can buy all kinds of dry goods for the year. Love the boxes of styrofoam cups, foil, plastic wrap, dishwashing cubes, foil pans, napkins, paper plates, paper towels, garbage bags, ziplocs, toothpaste, liquid bath soap, treats for kids, and that's not even getting into the perishables. I've bought several tv's there and other electronics. I can make back the annual payment in one trip for the year, usually, and I'm not shopping for a large family.

It's certainly worth a try. 40 bucks to give it a try for a year isn't a big risk, in my opinion.

If you are a friend has access to a re-sale license I would recommend Restaurant Depot, and International Wholesalers over Sams. Both are free and cheaper..
