ticket which included a pre-game banquet ticket. The seats were in upper ez -- not up to the wall; probably about 8 rows up in that section.

It's hard to believe the inflation with these tickets. Just 8 years later, I can't touch a single ticket for less than $1300 (from my research).

Wow....I'm glad I was able to go to a NC game when I could. I suppose I could drop the funds, but I just can't fathom that expense.

paid face in 03 and $500 in 07. Looks like I will not be attending this year.

it's not necessarily inflation more than it is 2 teams with rabid fan bases all within a 4.5 hour driving distance to the game in the best city in the world!

the prices will drop. they are only going so high right now because of the initial hype. the more hype the game gains, the more people will look to sell, the more the market will flood with tickets, and prices will come down.

I agree that prices will come down but not below $800 IMHO.

I went to the last two,. They were great. I love the Tigers but no way that I'll ever justify $1000 for 60 minutes of football.

I'm putting 500 on the side now for that weekend. Hopefully I find a single. Doubt it though.

i kept hearing that about the seccg but, that didn't happen. i had an upper but, i was trying to get into the lower section or the club. there weren't many tickets on stubhub or around the dome (i walked around the entire dome multiple times). prices were very high. face for a club was $170 and they were asking $300 just a few minutes before kickoff. about an hour before kickoff, the cheapest club on stubhub was $200.

I think it's more about excitement and popularity than inflation. BCS has fulfilled its mission.

Agreed. It sucks. Scored two 500 level tix in 2007 between the twenties for $500 per.

I'm not touching this game. I can't rationalize paying four times face value for shitty tickets.

It's a sixty minute game. The atmosphere on Bourbon should be great. I'll probably just hang out there.

I have two plaza tickets and the face value is $350, I'm trying to talk my brother out of selling his, but he just got engaged so he could use the money, it would cost someone $3000 to have my seat, I went in 07 and turned down $1200, but it's more important for me to experience the game, the moneys nice, but that's why I work

You paid a lot more than $300 per if your TAF ranking was high enough to get tickets. Just assume not donate the money and save it for Stubhub if I'm not going to get tickets anyways

Those tickets cost you a lot more than $300 then.

Not intended as a dig at you, thanks for supporting TAF. We wouldn't be where we are without TAF but the financial arms race that is college football is getting a bit crazy these days.

They sure in the hell didn't drop last year.

StubHub had to approach people that bought tickets and offer them a lot of money to buy them back so they could be sure all buyers got their tickets.

Smaller stadium, two teams that hadn't been to a BCS champ before.

I doubt stubhub makes the same mistake twice... It cost them a lot of $$ last year!

I've been blessed.

2003 my dad scored 2 for $250/per thinking they were nose bleeds only for them to read "suites" when we picked them up.

Went as a freshman in TGBFTL in 2007

Going this year as a student. I've had one heck of a run. Once I graduate I can forget it until the day I make it on TAF's high roller list.
