eh. He's not going to start Lee, but I wouldn't mind Lee getting a series to jump start things if we bog down. I like when JJ plays with a little bit of a chip on his shoulder. Love him or hate him, you have to admit that he is (and WE are) pretty damn good when he's feeling like Superman.

All I have tried to say.

Yeah I yield too. Just saying if I was calling the shots. As much as I know football, which is a pretty good bit, Miles has probably forgotten more football than I will ever know.

I have rewatched the SECC game a lot. JJ did not make any mistakes. And that is what Miles wants.
Shut up. He missed a touchdown throw on the second play of the game. You saying Miles didn't want those 7 points?

JL does not play his best when the defense is getting a good push....they got a good push in the first half.
So, If JJ played poorly, surely Lee would have too.

I wish we could somehow win without even playing a QB. THEN WE WON'T HAVE TO HEAR THE bullshite

People can u please just stop with the Jared Lee whinny baby crap!! Miles is going to put the best QB in the game to win. Do you really think he's tring to loose? I trust that he knows what he is doing!

Those stats are almost unbelievable.
JJ has more completions than JL overall, despite 18 fewer attempts.
JJ isn't amazing or even great.
He is the best option against Bama.
We want to win more than anything, right?

Miles has been quite stubborn about his love of victory and doing what he thinks gives his team the best chance at victory.

In the first half without a running game against a defense that is pressuring the QB...YES! They were getting more pressure on JJ than bama was getting on JL during the bama game and how did he play in that game?

Yeah six 3 and outs were a bit too much and I was wondering why we didn't see Lee to get a spark.
If Lee was not ready enough to play in that situation, chances are high that he is not going to see the field against a tougher Bama.

No, you aren't. What is astoundingly clear is that you cannot wait for LSU to lose and then jump onto this forum and others to whine and bitch about JJ's potentially bad performance. You can deny it, but it's the truth. You want JJ to fail and you want to crow about it. You are the worst sort of fan.

Seems like the one thing we all can agree on is that we want LSU to win.
Maybe we wouldn't be talking about the QB position if CLM wouldn't say things like this every week in the media.
Miles also said it was a "one-game" decision and indicated Lee could become the starter again. He said he likes the idea of having two signal-callers that he can depend on but isn't married to the format. "I don't necessarily have to have two quarterbacks," he said. "The issue is I have two quarterbacks that both deserve to play with different skills. I want both of those skill sets on the field. It happens to benefit our team in a long season, hopefully in a championship, to have two quarterbacks ready to play "We need both," Miles said. "We'll use both."
"He makes a couple of bad throws. That's it. That's how I see what happened," Miles said of Lee's performance in the Alabama game. "We need to get him going again. I think his contribution in this season has been so significant ... he is a very, very capable quarterback and certainly we need to have him be that guy."
Though reportedly as affable as ever, Les Miles didn't clear up his starting quarterback situation Wednesday. "It's my same two guys," Miles said. "I'm looking forward to them playing. They're working hard considering the situation that they're in."
“Jarrett Lee continues to do a great job of doing the things we ask him to do,” head coach Les Miles said. “He throws the ball well and manages the game. I enjoy the fact that Jordan Jefferson comes in and certainly his team does. He gives us a different style or change up if you will offensively. We will continue to do that.”
Miles said "we would have liked to have gotten him in a few series earlier"...

He wouldn't say a thing if the media/fans didn't keep harping on it
What would you have him say about another player on the team (in his senior year)
"we definitely look forward to his playing in certain situations"
OR
Ignores question
OR
"no comment"
OR
"I don't think he gives us the best chance to win and as head coach I say he is done"
Take your pick!
As a coach, he has a higher incentive to win (monetary and fame) and would definitely not play someone because he likes them.
