I usually like the Christmas Ale and look forward to it every year. Besides the fact that it is out in late October, this year's batch is retched. Piney hop overkill. It's like Pinesol.

And what the frick? Fall Fest seemed like it was out for a month and a half. It's supposed to be out till Nov.

I'm drinking one now. I was surprised to see it in the stores so early since Fall Fest was just released at the beginning of this month. It is OK, like the rest of Abita's beers. I thought the Fall Fest tasted just like their Amber.

If you can ever get your hands on it, Great Lakes makes the best Christmas Ale in the world

Haven't had that one. I'll throw a shoutout to Anchor Christmas Ale as my favorite.

I refuse to drink Christmas Ales until after November. There is no reason that I should be able to walk into a store and buy 8 months worth of seasonal beers. At Whole Foods yesterday I could have bought:

Covington Strawberry (I know its not seasonal but it should be)
Anchor Summer
A Plethora of Oktoberfests
Abita Fall Fest
Shipyard Pumkin
Abita/St. Arnolds Christmas

If that's the case I can't wait!

Sierra Nevada Celebration is the best xmas beer there is.

I like choices just not when they make no sense. I really like the variety of options that we have in baton rouge now. I am confused as to why breweries want to keep pushing up the releases of their seasonal beers.

Honestly, I think Abita has 3 or 4 different seasonals out now.

I know and it sucks. BC what is going to happen is that I am going to get worried that they will see out of all of the shipments early, so I will go buy a bunch and then have to sit on it until the winter.

So, their Christmas Ale tastes like an IPA and their IPA tastes like... Well, okay, I'm not sure what their IPA tastes like...

In response to the other poster, Great Lakes Christmas Ale is definitely legit.

I had some the other day and must have been allergic because my throat and face itched pretty bad after it.

Rouses today had two different designs for the Abita Christmas Ale. Is one leftover from last year?

one looks like this.

The other is different, one I have not seen.
