Would be terrible for the team IMO and a huge distraction

I agree. Even if he sits out the year JJ needs to move on.

Maybe, but it's not like we haven't been dealing with distractions for the last month and have overcome them.

BTW, post your email addy right quick. I got something to share with you.

He doesn't "need" to do anything he doesn't want or is allowed to do by Les.

Les will probably give him the option to either play this year or redshirt.

I can't wait until the meltdown that will occur on here. It will be epic.

why? because you (a fan) fear seeing him behind center at LSU again. So, regardless of the legal outcome, he should be the sacrificial lamb......that's bullshite.

Les will do what is right for HIS team and he does so without needing to sleep at a Holiday Inn Express.

Its only a game. The day seeing a player on the field induces fear I'll stop watching. I don't want to see JJ return for another year since I see his possible return as a regression at the position.

We overcame because we got some closure with JJ finally being indefinitely suspended and thus seperated from the rest of the team such that he could not sit around and distract them.

The simple fact that he's pleading for playing time and reinstatement right now shows total selfishness to me. The team is trying to focus on winning a national title - not JJ's career that never existed in the first place.

JJ has a better chance at replacing the kicker than he does replacing an experienced Mett....

+1000

LSU's QB future is with Mett and the current freshmen. I could live with JJ returning this year but I would not want to see him redshirt for an additional year in 2012.

Even he he were reinstated I would not want to see him on the field. He's really really bad and unproductive. In one half of football Mett did what JJ couldn't do in half the games he played in last year, throw a TD pass.

You should try opening a dictionary.

Even if he's innocent?

I couldn't agree more. If Lee has finally gotten his shite together, the last thing LSU needs is Jefferson pulling his little pouty faces on the sideline. Bringing him back would not be an upgrade at the QB position.

If he is indeed innnocent, then I want to see him exonerated of the charges, but I hope that he never plays QB at LSU again.

Bringing him back would be a distraction. I just don't think Les does that. It would divide the locker room IMO.

I just couldn't see him cheering lee on from the bench. I think he'd be pissed that he wasn't playing.

Don't believe me? Look at what he's trying to do right now. Trying to be reinstated to the team without charges being cleared or taken to a grand jury first.

This whole business of him walking around on campus in his socks "to make a statement" is what gets me.

If he's doing this crap, he'd better know 100% for certain that he didn't do anything, because acting like an immature knucklehead isn't exactly the best way to score leniency points with the DA.
