This is an enormous IF considering the circumstances.

If it turns out he's raping goats at the 50 yard line of Tiger Stadium, that would disturb me too. But forgive me for not piling on the kid by speculating about how upset I'd be IF he's doing something we don't know he's doing.

Whatever....answer the question trick! If he came back and Les placed him in the starting line-up, would you support him and encourage others to get behind the starting QB?

Yes,if Miles did that. I think it's a Moo point (even the cows don't like it), though. Mett is it next year.

I already do. I support JL because he is a Tiger and I am a Tiger........I answered your question but I await your answer to my question.

You do realize, of course that in 3-5 weeks, we'll be 6-8 weeks into the season, right?

I was responding to Doc saying he didn't think JJ should be reinstated at all.

quote:

If we're undefeated, or even have 1 loss (either of which is quite likely), there's no way he regains the starting QB spot. In fact, he'd very likely be relegated to mop-up duty if he takes any snaps at all.

I don't know that he would definitely have no way of regaining the starting spot. I don't know what the coaches were seeing during camp and if they would feel that JJ would give us a better chance against a certain opponent or two. I just don't know and frankly it's a horrible situation.

quote:

Do you think HE wants that?

I would think not, but I would hope he is eager enough to get on the field that he wouldn't phone-in the remainder of the season just to come back next year.

truth....and if JJ is returned to the team I will support him as well.

But he obviously did enough to lose the support of the tiger family, by virtue of being suspended indefinitely, so if/when he is a member of the team I will support him.

Based on his past history (or lack of) it makes me think he is innocent.

We don't know for sure that he kicked Andrew Lowery in the face. That sure hasn't stopped the speculation.

As I said before, this is a message board, not a court of law. Hearsay happens. People comment on it. It's the nature of the beast. Stop taking it so seriously.

Quick to lay judgement. Do you know for sure he is guilty? I will support him if it comes out that he is innocent.

Come on, it's not a hard question to answer. I'll start.

I support and cheer for whoever the coaching staff decides to put on the field. Do you agree, even if it might (very unlikely) be JJ?

There reaction was based SOLELY on his ability under center and had he been better you would not have seen the same reaction you did?

Let me be as clear as possible. Even if the Shady incident had never occurred I still wouldn't want JJ on the field in 2011. I find his play on the field and his posturing on the sidelines to be a determent to the team.

I have no problem with him being reinstated this year and wearing an LSU uniform and said so five pages back but I still don't want him to start.

This has become such a soapbox issue with some here that to state a position regarding JJ's abilities is tantamount to wanting to see JJ begging on the streets for the remainder of his days. Total BS

CLM has been in bed with the seniors on the team ever since he got here.
Ah, so that's why Tyrann Mathieu AND Tharold Simon are starting ahead of Ron Brooks, Sam Montgomery is starting ahead of Chancey Aghayere and Lavar Edwards, Brockers and Logan are starting ahead of Dennis Johnson and Josh Downs, Faulk and Hurst are starting ahead of Shaw, and why Beckham started ahead of Boone and Wright.

People have been spouting that idiocy to justify their own deluded sense of "talent evaluation" ever since the Hester/Keiland days, and it's gotten even sillier since then. Miles starts the players that will give us the best chance to win, and more often than not those players are the ones with great talent AND more experience (just like every other highly successful program). But the long, LONG list of underclassmen that he has started ahead of more veteran players demonstrates how laughably ignorant some people are when they insist that Miles only goes by seniority.

It stopped me from speculating from day one. Of course, I got told to STFU by essentially everyone on here when I suggested that if we actually care about LSU it might not be in the best interest of the player or program to run around spreading unfounded rumors...but there you have it.

Hearsay happens because people spread rumors. I just can't imagine why someone would go through the trouble of creating that post of your I responded to. Why suggest you're fed up with an action of his, and then hedge your bet by saying if it's true, blah, blah, blah? Why not simply not say anything? If it turns out wht you were speculating was happening, then by all means we can all start a thread and call the guy out for whatever perceived wrongs we feel he has committed. But to preemptively call a guy out for doing something for which you have no evidence...just sound a tad assholish to me.

It has almost nothing to do with the Shady's incident.
