LSU or the Saints - who do you care about more and why?

I'll start.
LSU because I went there. And I'm not from Louisiana so the Saints ties just were never there.

I'd be shocked if LSU won this poll being on an LSU board

Definitely LSU. Because I love college football more than pro football. I still like the Saint's, pull for them, go to the games....but I love LSU.

I'm definitely a fan of both, but this isn't close.
LSU all day

Honestly Saints
I watch or listen to My Tigers every weekend but I really dont watch that much college football of other teams. Ive grown out of the target group or maybe its because I prefer the real NFL as opposed to its farm league the NCAA/SEC.
I used to be a bigger college fan but until they do a playoff system I'll more support the league where I know I get what each team is paying for as opposed to watching a league where only some teams pay for their team and or their coach.

in terms of importance, LSU>>>Saints....
of course, i have always been a huge college sports fan, thinking they have their school, friends and family, and pride to play for...
the pros basically get paid very well, win or lose, so you can tell when they mail it in... that doesn't happen as much in college... hell, even McNeese was going toe to toe with LSU regardless of the fact they were heavy underdogs...
it could be perception over reality, but it just seems to me, at least, that it means so much more to college players than pro players, and for that reason, i enjoy LSU more...

LSU and it's not even close. I'm not a saints fan at all and I grew up in New Orleans. I guess....being an LSU fan in the N.O. area is a little more "unique" than being a Saints fan. Not to mention, I love college football and could give a shite less about the pros. Professional football is boring IMHO.

I could not pick one over the other. Love em both with the same passion and intensity...although Haslet and Brooks came close to making me quit on the Saints. It was the worst of times. Last year, the best of times.
I cried for both LSU and the Saints championships.

As I approach the end of my 40's, I can very honestly say I am a huge fan of both. slight edge to LSU though.
My first knowledge of football was as a very young boy in 1969. My Daddy took me and the son of the State Trooper in LaPlace who gave him the tickets (Ben Tamborella - are you out there?) to the LSU-Auburn game on Oct. 25, 1969. My blood has been purple and my veins gold since that day. When Jimmy Gilbert threw that halfback option pass to Andy Hamilton for a TD on the first play of the game, I had to put my little hands over my ears !!!
The next week, I cried when Archie Who beat the Tigers 26-23, which would end up ruining LSU's NC and bowl hopes.
If I'm not mistaken the Saints were in the middle of a winning streak then after starting off 0-6, including a game in St. Louis I watched that weekend where Billy Kilmer of the Saints and Charley Johnson of the Cardinals combined for 12 TD passes.
My Dad says he put me on his shoulders at Moisant Airport when the Saints arrived back from their first every victory over Philadelphia in 1967, but I don't remember :)
I DO remember the first Saints game I ever went to: August 1970 - exhibition vs the Detroit Lions and Bill Munson.
The Lions won. The score? 31-17 - A score that would be prophetic 40 years later :)
I remember walking past the shrubs on Tulane's campus and up the ramp of Tulane Stadium - and seeing and hearing and smelling: "Jax Beerman heayah!" cigars, popcorn, peeing behind the stands because the line was too long for my Dad :), men in suits and hats, etc.
I had become a Saints fan too.....
4 decades later we were losing our minds in Cafe Giovanni's as Tracy Porter stepped in front of NOLA's favorite son Peyton's pass....
Yeah I'd say I'm both, but maybe a leeeetle more LSU at heart.

LSU. I love college ball. I love LSU.
I like the Saints but am not addicted to the NFL.

I think if you grew up in BR the answer is LSU and if you come from NOLA then the answer is the Saints.
Everybody else is a wild card.

LSU was my first love. Saints were my first anguishing. Lucky enough to have gone to both BCSCG wins and the Super Bowl, and the LSU win was more fulfilling, but the Saints win and environment was spiritual (watched from the corner endzone the pick 6 and it was awesome)

I was raised in Biloxi, MS so I grew up watching the Saints on Sundays. However, my grandpa had season tickets to LSU games, and so I started going to the majority of the home games as a kid. So I am an LSU football fan way more than the saints (probably doesn't hurt that I'm an alum as well).
