Before you bash our football team and coaches.......

for those of you who were at the game last night and left at the half or thereafter, I am bashing YOU bastards.
I am SICK and TIRED of the whole LSU fanbase talking about nothing but football season 365 days a year, looking forward to it starting, and when we get to the home opener, half the people in our "feared" stadium leaves at halftime because they don't want to get wet or they want to "beat the traffic". You assholes that did that last night are pathetic, and I am really glad that ESPNU pointed out all the empty seats.
You know what, part of football season, whether it's a peewee league game, a high school game, college or pro, is that the game is supposed to be played in the elements- it is part of the game. I sure as hell didn't see our players leaving the game at halftime because THEY were getting rained on.
You assholes that left the game last night because you were getting rained on- Booo the frick hooooo. YOU are pathetic. Absolutely pathetic. And some of you who left will show your arse on this board and bash our football team and our schemes and say this- "It doesn't matter if it was raining cats and dogs or dry, we should be scoring points". Frickin' hypocritical assholes. Makes me want to puke.
SO, if you are one of the assholes who left that game last night, in my eyes, not only did you leave a close football game at halftime, you left the LSU "fanbase", embarrassed the university and yourself.
You can say whatever the hell you want, but I am right and whoever left that close game is WRONG. Bash me if you wish, but I don't give a flying rats arse about your frickin' excuses.
DO NOT bash our football team and coaches if you left that game early, and you know who you are...
Have a GREAT day!

Having lived through the early 90s debacle, I too was embarrassed about the crowd. Success has made our fans ... well... suck.
Hats off to the students, though. It looked like they stayed.

I really don't care that much that people left in the rain but the above is humorously true. You can bet that many who thought the rain was too bad to stay were unhappy with sloppy play on the field.

Only time I saw any students leave from where I was the 2nd KW TD, which is still bad, but it's better than leaving at halftime.
But, as I told my friend several times last night, this is MY senior year, they're going to half to kick me out of the stadium

I'm not so much an egotist that I believe what I have to say is so profound but I'll repeat a post of mine from another thread:
And yes. The national media is starting to notice what a spoiled fan base we have.
Thanks for pointing that out, TOTP.

Once again, you have more and more people sitting in corporate season ticket seats with trophy wives etc. etc. that come to see and be seen.
Right that Florida fans sure didn't leave in a rainstorm when they were stomping a heavy underdog.
Real, diehard fans have been priced out of going to games.
Watching Ohio State play USC, it killed me to admit that their stadium is worlds above Tiger Stadium now as far as noise and being an intimidating place for visitors.
I admit though--I've never seen a fanbase and a stadium fall so far, so fast--in the space of about 8 years--from the most initimidating venue in college football to tens of thousands of spoiled fat cats who are there just to see and be seen and leave a stadium embarrassingly empty at halftime of a close SEC game.
Tiger Stadium is just a shell of its former self.
That's sad.

Thanks for pointing that out, TOTP.

I do agree with you though!!! LSU fans are spoiled and pathetic!!!! We will see how they act after the UGA game. Cause if they play like they did last night they will lose.

sadly enough, our fan's reputation is fading.
I "loved" the ESPN shot of our fans while Vandy was on offense and they were sitting with their mouths shut, dejected. WTF?!
The sense of entitlement among the ticket holding masses is nauseating. I will say this, those who travel (i.e. Seattle) are keeping the torch lit for now.
It really sux to see what is happening.

I agree the fan base is no where close to what it used to be.Every game no matter the score there is a mass exit of fans at halftime if not before. Our home field advantage has disappeared. We had better crowds during the Hallman era than we have now

I'm sure that this makes some sort of difference when a recruit is on the fence on deciding what university to go to.

And ... I always thought--and it used to be--that in a close game against an underdog the Tiger Stadium crowd would be the 12th man.
Those days are apparently long gone. The team will battle it out in second halves in front of a half-empty stadium.
LSU crowds have lost their "warrior" mentality. Now it's the fat cats sitting back saying "entertain me."
But of course these "fans" will stick around to sit on their fat asses during the "prestige" games like Florida--probably telling others to sit down and shut up.

OSU can do all the intimidating they want...they lost at home
again.
Intimidating means fear of losing, not just noise.
