At the end of the day, this team has a chance to etch their names in history as tournament champions. Nobody thought that could be possible before the season started.

I would absolutely love to win the NIT.. but we can't get ahead of ourselves. North Texas is a good team and I doubt they'll play as bad as they did our first matchup.

The Wade cult still doesn't get it. I am an LSU fan and will support the team and coach until I have a reason not to. Wade being fired by Woodward is not a reason not to.2 years with improvement is not a reason not to. At least not for a sane reasonable LSU basketball fan. Just like all the NCAA BS and "FBI investigation" BS was not a reason to not support Wade. Until he wasn't my coach anymore. Please tell me you're not too stupid to understand that. Wait. Nevermind.

This. I quite being a Wade fan the second he was fired from LSU. He's no longer our coach. I wish him well but I don't care about him anymore.

Too many posters treat him like their ex-girlfriend from high school that they never got over.

That's always been my motto. I'll be there tonight as I have all but two home games this year and I can absolutely assure you I'll be in the top 10th percentile in degree of participation and noise of the entire crowd tonight.

Now support to me does not mean you never question or criticize. I questioned Skip and Saban many a time. I questioned Dale ALOT!! I'll question Jay, Kelly and CMM as long as they are coaches here and if I think they are making mistakes or doing something I think is counterproductive, I'll give my opinion in that regard.

Just saw a man put $700 down on North Texas State +2.5. That line indicates to me that a LSU team playing at home is basically saying oddsmakers think North Texas is a live dog and would be -1 or so on a neutral court. I sure hope our boys are excited to get some extra game experience in because we truly need this for next season. Normally I’d say I doubt LSU would be very motivated because they missed the big tournament. But after last year and seeing signs of improvement this season I’ve got a feeling we show up motivated. I watched two games North Texas played in their tournament. They aren’t too shabby. North Texas is one of the best cover teams in the country at 17-10 ATS including 7-4 in their last 11 games. Anyone that blind bet North Texas won 63% of their wagers on them which is phenomenal. Covering 63% ATS indicates this NTSU team puts up a fight no matter who they play. LSU averages 17th in average height vs North Texas at 248th. Long as LSU can control the paint using our height advantage, keep pressure on them shooting their 3’s, I see a path for victory if our young men show up motivated and truly want to win. I hope we blow this team out because North Texas is a pretty tough mid major. I got a lot of respect for our opponent tonight. I’m on the Tigers to win -2.

North Texas plays solid defense. Going to be a very difficult win for the Tigers.

Constructive Criticism should never be frowned upon. I have questioned some of MM substitution patterns at times. Doesn't make him a loser.LOL.

Really need a solid game from our bigs especially Reed and Baker. Reed can exploit smaller bigs when he goes 1 on 1. As long as he doesn't dribble of his foot or miss the layup. If Baker gets off to a good start it is usually a good sign for the team as a whole. And I haven't seen Wright have back to back bad games all year so he is due.

Except that we beat them on a neutral court. And LSU wasn't playing especially well at the time. Stewart started, played 25 minutes, and was 0-5. Dean played 4 minutes. Trae came off the bench for 11 minutes and had 1 rebound.

I am not a betting man, and would almost never bet on a game with a team I am a fan of, but if I was I would bet on LSU. LSU is playing better and will be at home. Unless North Texas really improved since that game, I can't see them winning.

I’m not a huge gambler, but I do understand that odds don’t have colors or a diploma. It’s almost the epitome of objective versus subjective.

That said, I usually place a small ML bet against LSU. People have different terms, but I call it an emotional hedge. I want us to win with every heartbeat, but If we lose I make a few bucks. I kinda wish I was broke about now.

Last year and early this year betting the spread against LSU was a solid bet. First, McMahon doesn't see to be interested in running up scores against weak opponents. Second, LSU was playing average opponents really close. It seems that since January that plating the spread against them hasn't held up as much.

Still, this is a team that we nearly fouled out their front line in the first game.

Yeah, I hear you. Against the spread is not usually what I do with us. It’s straight money line on opponent for the reason I stated above. And really small amount.

For example, for tonight I have UNT ML with a 60% boost on DK for $5. It’s peanuts money wise and I hope to lose.

Not exactly what I would be caught saying at all.

Look for an old fat man who looks like a taller version of Colonel Sanders.
