So I am taking a trip to NOLA with my siblings. I am a frequent visitor but they are not. I am a drinker more then an eater but they are opposite. So looking for best recommendations. We are staying at hotel on Magazine between Canal and Poydras.

Steak recommendations?
Roast Beef Po Boys?
Seafood?
Breakfasts?

Maybe this is hijacking your thread, but I highly recommend Revel on Carrollton. It doesn’t fit any of the four questions you listed; HOWEVER, it’s be best cocktails in town along with some amazing food. It will impress all of you and your specific tastes.

This is a good list. I might add GW Fins for seafood and Brennans for breakfast.

Both are great, but if your siblings are not too experienced with NOLA, then I would do one of the classic Sunday brunch spots like Brennan’s or Arnaud’s.

Mr. Johns.
Go up to the rooftop bar Hot Tin Roof before or after the dinner here if the weather is nice.

Skip the steak. You’re in New Orleans, not Chicago, Omaha or Kansas City.

This is my thought, too. When I’m in NO, I want as much shrimp, fish and oysters as I can possibly eat.

Solid list. Would swap Parkway for Guy’s.

Eliza Jane?

Regardless, couvant is good in the Eliza Jane. Across the street the chophouse does a solid steak too.

Nina Compton’s spot around the corner (compere lapin) is tasty too. Luke is close and always solid.

That whole list is going to be super close to you

They have all that at normal restaurants. Take them to French places…La Petite Grocery, N7, Cafe Degas, Lilette….or Spanish places…Costera, Lola’s…
