Prove me wrong. Everything that hateful, spiteful, racist bitch does is to stick it in the faces of her opponents. From the cancelling Mardi Gras nonsense to the court room display, she does it because she knows it pisses off the white people in Orleans Parish and there is absolutely nothing they can do about it. Every single person moving out is a victory in her eyes.

She’s an idiot, but anyone who thinks she showed up in court to spite white people is a moron. I would bet every dollar to my name that she has a personal relationship with the kid’s mom. Not that that justifies her actions, because she’s the fricking mayor of the city, but stop with the conspiracy nonsense. I live hundreds of miles away but genuinely feel bad for residents of NO that didn’t vote for her.
This woman is a joke nationwide. I’m conflicted on this topic. In 2022, I could see a mayor tanking his or her own city for some reason. Unfortunately, I don’t see why she would do it, so I’ll assume she’s just that stupid.

Well, she is attempting to put the final nail in the coffin, but the destruction has been going on for quite some time. The Landrieus and Morials deserve most of the credit, although Marc did hire Pennington, who was probably the best chief during the last 50+ years.

Someone was telling me something like this. Like stopping gentrification was a top priority for her. To stop gentrification you have to make the questionable areas unwelcome for those who would "gentrify it".
I still eat a lot of lunches in the city but haven't been out there for dinner in a long time. That used to be one of my favorite weekend activities. Trying a new place in the city.
Coming back to a smashed window or having to worry about getting jacked just isn't worth it.

That city has been F'ed for a while and open to exploitation for anyone who cared to give it a try. Once the pandemic hit and the nation fell under Biden's leadership she hit the lottery.
An administration looking for people willing to push their agenda, spoon feed the the poor in return for votes, tax the hell out of the biggest existing contributors to the tax base and do everything they could to make more dependable on federal and state governments growing their power share is exactly what she needed.
