My whole point is that when Chip Kelly's offenses went up against elite defenses (especially from the SEC and Big Ten), they didn't do that great. And he will be facing more defenses like that more often than he did in the Pac 12.

How have Miles' done?

Chip Kelly at LSU would be a disaster. I'm talking Rich Rod to UM, Bill Callahan at Nebraska, bad. He doesn't fit. LSU would be Tamu 2.0

Am I missing something? Clemson runs spread also. Plus look at the backs in the NFL from Oregon.

My argument was not against a spread type offense. ( Although I do believe , we should always be able to get under center at times). I simply said that the Oregon offense Kelly ran was not near as " Pro/NFL" friendly as some others" it was gimmicky and based on going at a fast pace. He did a great job with it and won a lot of football games in the PAC-12. I just don't know how it would fit playing SEC type defenses week in and week
out.

Chip Kelly has been having to game-plan against NFL coaches. His skills have been tested against the best coaches in the world.

Before QB issues sank him this year, Kelly was humming along with Nick Foles playing lights out football.

For me it's because his Offense on NCAA'14 was unstoppable...I would almost always win the Heisman with my QB and play for a MNC...so that has to transpose to real life, huh?

his teams in college were stellar but he never won a natty

So only coaches that have won natty's qualify?

Go ahead and list those for us.

Saban was ok and could have been great if not for the Brees and Culpepper mistake.

Pete didn't do great but had a super bowl now. Same can be said of Bellichick FYI.

Spurrier never had a chance and neither so many coaches under Dan Snyder.

Almost every loss he took at Oregon was against teams who won the battle up front against them. Teams who were move physical. That's Alabama, Florida, Arkansas, Ole Miss, etc.

If you think Kelly can just bring the same style and personnel-type that he had at Oregon and win big in the SEC, you're crazy. So yes, he's going to have to change his style some.

Someone who gets it!
