You could have called Saban a mediocre Big 10 coach at one point his career...

WolverineFan, my big hesitation about Ferentz would obviously be his recent struggles, coupled with the fact that one of his greatest wins came against a Saban team that Lil Nicky had already quit. He was already more concerned about the Dolphins at that point.

"For the ones questioning Ferentz' coaching ability, he has done a remarkable job at Iowa."

I'll question it, hasn't Iowa State won 2 out of the last 3 vs Iowa? That is just sad when you put the two programs side-by-side.

You mean like it did with Jai Eugene?

Not sure if this is supposed to be some insult. Jai stayed home, good for him. He's trying to be a good father and stayed close with his kid.
Jai is a good football player.

bowl wins over powers like Florida and LSU

You know, getting fricked by the refs in the Auburn game last year kind of made me forget about the officials fricking us out of that Iowa game on the last play. Bastards!

and a loss to major MAC power Western Michigan on senior day.

also in his "big" win against LSU he needed a hail mary to beat a lame duck coach. Congrats on the wonderful hire if true

Damn, we can't even give Bo away.

Either way, if Miles doesn't get this job, we're married to him for better or worse for quite some time. We better prepare for that possibility.

Meh.

I'm okay with Ferentz. I'm not sure how Les Miles would do up here.
From what i've seen, he's made some questionable decisions this season.

I think a majority of that "we" are very happy with that

No insult intended, just a statement of fact in response to a rather arrogant comment about how "Michigan recuruits itself". Yes that is rather obvious with all of the team size, strength and speed versus most SEC schools. We can all "clearly see" how well it recruits itself againt most of our elite prorams!

I sense some negativity towards Les.

Funny how you were starting "rallys" for him last week and now want to run him out of town.

So who gets more blame, Pelini or Les?

Strange situation.

Imagine your girl wanting to give it to someone else and the dude turned her down.

How do you feel about staying with her?

Pelini, obviously. Unless Les is actually telling Pelini what to call. The second half of the season has been the worst defense at LSU since the 90's, when we had a fraction of the talent.

Not all of us. My beef is he wanted the job with you guys and I think it affected his team for the last two weeks.

Most big traditional schools do recruit themselves man. Schools like SC, Notre Dame, Michigan, Oklahoma, Texas, etc.
In regards to Michigan vs the SEC, we've beaten Arkansas, Florida, Auburn, and Alabama in bowl games since 1999.
Not sure what you're trying to say here.

That you'r living in the past, but good luck with Ferentz or whomever you guys end up with. Nothing against you personally, but I guess you just don't realize how much your school, Ohio State, et al (Big 10) are resented, not because you are viewed as some "mystical program" like you once were, but because of your jackass Big 10 Commissioner Delaney and has stood in the way of a true National Championship playoff because of your school and Ohio State. But,sooner or later that will change. Again, nothing against you personally.
