KF had a couple of good years but Iowa has been crap the last few years. Not a good hire for Michigan.

Carr is way to involved in this....I've not seen many great endings when the former coach is at the AD level and involved in the next hire (SKIP and LSU Baseball). Iowa? that's out of left field, what is the connection>

Ferentz' daughter goes to Michigan. Kirk himself was born in Michigan.

His son is a HS Senior, who has verbally committed to Iowa. If Kirk came here, the kid would likely go to Michigan ala Dan Hawkins kid Cody.

well your AD said he wanted a Lloyd clone so I guess hiring another mediocre Big 10 coach was the next best thing

Bo never won a national title.
Several times we were in position to win titles but, choked against either Ohio State or in the Rose Bowl

Damn, his legend must be pretty exaggerated then. For some reason I thought he won like multiple championships.

Actually they haven't won one outright since 1948. The one that they have won is tainted because the majority of "experts" that year picked Nebraska as the winner... thus they shared it.

Meh. A mediocre coach who has shared 2 Big Ten titles with bad talent.
Not to mention bowl wins over powers like Florida and LSU

Bo is a character guy...more respected for how he carried himself rather than wins and losses.

Ferentz and Miles are just about equal from what I've seen, especially if Miles wins the SEC this year (Ferentz has a Big 10 title in '02)

I'm sure many of you will be glad if this comes true.
Les stays in Baton Rouge.

Not me. I will be devastated if Miles stays at LSU. He will run the program into the ground. I'm praying he leaves. If not this year, we will never get rid of this goon.

This Frerentz BS was shot down on several rival boards as an Iowa hoax. According to all reports, UM coaching search is going slowly. Probably waiting for Miles to be done with the SECCG.

If UM announces him tomorrow this will go down as the worst 5 day stretch in LSU football history.

Friday - Lost out on a good shot at a NC
Monday - Verdict is in and LM will be here until he goes 6-6 (which may or may not be that long from now)

It is. He's a hero in the midwest because it was really the first time in American sports where the student beat the teacher.
Bo played under Woody, than coached under him too. After he was hired, he finished with a winning record vs Woody and beat Ohio State's proclaimed best team ever.
