The "Coach O sucks" circlejerk is mind blowing

Herman is anything but proven, yet reading this board you would swear he's the next belichick when he's just as likely to be the next Rich Rod, Charlie Strong, Sumlin, Sarkesian, Kingsbury, etc. Hell jimbo lost 4 games at florida state back to back seasons before getting thins right and winning a title. Shocking as it may be to some of you, Saban lost 4 games including 1 to ULM his first year at Bama.
A lot more goes into a coaches success than just "hire this guy and you win and if you hire this guy you lose" ultimately we didnt execute vs florida and bama and it goes on the coach but i have confidence that with a full offseason to prepare coach O can change that. We've had some amazingly successful games against good A&M and Arkansas teams that prove hiring O isnt the end of the world

the major flaw in your post is that LSU was limited to hire Jimbo, Herman, or O, and we had to do it by today at noon

Well there really isn't much evidence to mount a "Coach 0 is an awesome coach" campaign. You're more than welcome to take a stab at it though.

He can recruit his arse off. If he can recruit better than Miles and put the right coordinators in place then I think he can win a lot here.

We just hired a coach who couldn't win 30% of his games when given an opportunity to run a program full time, and you trot out this argument.
