That's very short sighted. Long term stability is a huge factor.

It is my personal belief that based on what I have been told, Texas dropped the ball and if we want Herman, he is ours.

We better put the nails in the coffin on this sh*t. They will probably let Jimbo string them along until it's too late.

But can Herman run a big time program? Can he transition from a school where the expectations were low to a pressure cooker? Can he recruit? All unknowns.

I really hope it's Herman and not Fisher or Fedora. I just hope Aranda would stay under such a scenario.

If those idiots dont see how good LSU would be with Herman at HC/OC and Aranda at DC then they really should not be in charge. With that combo LSU beats anybody no problem.

Aranda held Bama to nothing for 3 quarters after being on the field the entire game and the offense scored nothing. You think a Herman offense cant score 3 points much less 0? Fisher has several losses already this season.

Hell yes he can. He landed one of the best defensive and all around players in the country in Ed Oliver.

If news comes out on Friday, it's Herman. UH plays at 11 am and the game will finish by 2 pm. Herman would then let his players know in a team meeting. News or leak would come out.

This seems logical at this point. Makes me feel optimistic. Either would make me happy.

You lock down the first fricking one of Herman or Fisher that commits.

If Alleva fricks this up by waiting on Fisher if Herman is committed and loses them both ...

The worry about Aranda is that he'd leave to go with Herman to Texas. If we get Herman and give him a raise he's not going anywhere. Herman's offense scored 59 points against Aranda's defense in the B1G championship game. He knows how good this team could be with Herman at the helm.

People keep saying this but there are many reasons this is misleading. Ed has a brother on the team and I believe his high school coach is in staff. Shrewd move by Herman, no doubt, but it can't be done for every player. Herman's ability to run an entire program and everything that comes with it is still an unknown. He will need to be surrounded by SEC savy recruiters. O would be ideal but is very cloudy.
