I know I don't have the clout around here that DALSU and Random have, however, I was fairly close to the situation last year. Everyone got it wrong. I just want to share what I know. Earlier in the week, there was a lot of discussion between Tom Herman and LSU. I posted that on Friday, news would come out. I still stand by that but, discussion between Fisher and LSU have picked up. It is no secret that Fisher is the top choice for the administration. I have been patiently waiting(not really)since yesterday morning for my "source" to update again. All I have received is discussions are ongoing between ALL parties. It is my personal belief that based on what I have been told, Texas dropped the ball and if we want Herman, he is ours. There is some in house disagreement on which coach will bring long term stability and success to LSU. Happy Thanksgiving.

Nothing would make me happier than the OP being right. Some of the big guys on the pay sites have been reporting that Jimbo declined our last offer and that Fedora or O-maggedon were most likely.

No, it's more simple than that. You just lie and hope that what you believe will happen, based on nothing more than a personal hunch, will turn out to be correct. All of these guys with "inside sources" all have different "insight" on the situation. It's ridiculous really. Oh yeah, and if you turn out to be wrong...you just say "well guys, it was all about to happen just like I said and it fell apart".

They need to lock Herman down. Fisher has a better history of producing NFL QBs but Herman's offense gives us the best chance to beat Bama. And his offense has been elite at all levels of college football. Let's lock him down.

I still believe that Friday we will have a better understanding and one coach will be eliminated from our search.
