He won't ever leave, he'll just keep the possibilities open so he can keep getting raises. Remember when he played Texas?

Saban will not go back to the NFL. One of the major factors for his success is being able to stack the deck in his favor. He can and has done that at Bama and he's smart enough to know that he CAN NOT do that at any NFL team with the way the rules are set.

The only team that would be a worse fit for Saban than the Giants would be the Jets. Or Dallas. Washington would be pretty horrible too.
Saban has repeatedly said he has no interest in going back to the NFL. He's said "the Process" doesn't work in the NFL.
I don't think the guy gives a shite that he was a mediocre NFL coach. I think he regretted leaving LSU for Miami and now that he has a great situation at Bama, he will never ever leave.

I doubt it, but I am certainly starting a thread at halftime.

I've said forever he would consider the job but it has nothing to do with any of the nonsense in your post.

Saban hates the media. Have you see any Saban press conferences?

My post was that he'll either pursue this NY Giants job or stay at Bama for all time. I didn't say that he would leave, but I think the Giants of one of the teams that would interest him. I do think that those of you that think that he doesn't enjoy the limelight are wrong. His ego loves the attention. He can an a-hole and get away with it.

Saban is not cut out for the NY media. Not to mention not cut out for the NFL as a whole.

I would love to see the battle when he got mouthy with an NYC reporter

The media are like broads - the more you treat them like dirt, the more they love you. Look how the New York and Boston have let Parcells and Belichick bend them over for years and continue to idolize both of them. Saban would play the NY media like a violin.

If there is a franchise that Nick would go to, I think the Giants would be tempting. Most of all, there is solid, stable ownership that doesn't need to be in the spotlight. The Mara family is exactly the kind of owner that Nick could work for.

Saban doesn't have feelings. He watched the game to confirm his blood lust isn't quite as satisfied in the NFL as it is in college.

I don't think he's going to the Giants, or anywhere else. Media isn't that big a deal. Your media obligations are your media obligations. He has enough concentration and focus to deal with that.

What he wouldnt have in New York is personnel control. They didn't want to give it to him in 1997 and they're not going to give it to him now. And Eli is what, 10 years older than Andrew Luck in the job that didn't open up? Not happening.

I want him back. If he leaves and we go on a run against them like before then it will feel cheap. I want him back us beat them at home next year then him retire.

This is said every year for the last 3 years. These threads seem to forget it.
