If Les goes, no one on the current staff will be at LSU. You are delusional if you think otherwise.

I don't! Michigan had a damn good coach in RR, but they refused to give him time he needed to get his program up and running. That 11=2 record they had in 2011 belonged to RR

I am 90% confident Les retires at LSU. Did anyone think that he considers LSU home and not Michigan? Seeing as how he turned them down twice now?

No, I am implying that Michigan is not going to want to spend that much money on Miles AND his coordinators.

They would only hire 1 coordinator, but if they wanted to hire every person LSU has on staff including the fricking cooks, they could. Money is not an issue.

I'd take my chances playing OSU every year as opposed to Alabama, Auburn, and the rest of the West teams that will take turns making a run.

He will have to go against OSU and Michigan State every year.
I know we like to think SEC>everyone, but those are two great teams he will have to play against every year in his division.

The man had a .350 conference winning percentage and was 0-6 vs the rivals. There isnt a school in the country that would have held on to him.

I love that the list includes 2 successful NFL coaches.

One of whom hasn't coached in college since 1997.

Jim is a pipe dream, but John Harbaugh's name being floated around is absolutely ridiculous.

And it is not like it is a stretch to think they won't spend 4.5 million + for a HC this time, seeing how they haven't broken 3 million for a HC yet.

You realize when they hired Rich Rod, they were paying near the top and why pay a Midmajor coach top money? They paid his staff according to their history, not because they are cheap.

Michigan has more money than LSU and can spend whatever they want on HC and assts.

They haven't had to but now they do and will.

You realize there is no proof of this outside of one shitty reporter (Herbstreit making assumptions) and he was never offered it again, please get your head out of your rear.

Same way Arky offered him the job, right?

What if Chavis becomes LSUs head coach after Les leaves?

Actually, his overall contract was 6 years for a max potential of 18 million, so best case scenario is that he could make an average of 3 a year.

LINK

No one is actually arguing that money is an issue, what the issue is if Michigan wants to spend that amount of money on football, which in the past has told us no.

He's never shown an interest in being a head coach and doesn't recruit.

Would you really want that?

LSU can do much better - why settle for a career coordinator who's almost 60?

You are so naive if you think they didn't come calling, like they will be this year.
I bet you are one of the idiots on the rant that have been calling for Les's head or saying you won't miss him when he is gone.

Why are you ignoring circumstances? Hurricane, LA was down for his first 4 years here. 2007 had more than half the players from OOS and was littered with his players. 2011. 7 fricking years after saban left. He had nothing to do with that.

And what happened that year? Despite how amazing it was, he didn't bring home the hardware. I seriously doubt LSU has a defensive team and special teams that great or a player like Mathieu again.

That kid single-handedly changed games, and the QB issues don't seem to be anywhere close to being corrected.

Again, Les is a great coach, but I don't see his luck in the first Bama game that season lining up with that season again. Had that team shown any fight outside of the defense in the NC game, you may have a point.
