Seriously, why would a single one of those coaches want to go to Michigan? This is not 1975 any longer. The recruiting landscape has changed dramatically as has relative conference strength and Michigan's prestige. Each one of those coaches is currently at a far more desirable job.
i hate SCUM as much as anyone, but Michigan was getting top 10 classes with Hoke. If any of those guys go there, top 5 classes on top of the top 10 classes Hoke got, 2 years that team is 10 wins+

Les goes to Michigan to help build the program, then he will take over as AD.

agreed. he has a chance to stabilize and rebuild michigan and then retire.
Do you really think it will be easy to rebuild their program?
It is a dumpster fire.
Lets just look at a few things if he left. One, he probably wouldn't be able to hire the coordinators he has now (because I doubt Michigan will give him the $$$ for the ones we have), so he would have to hire new people and build new chemistry. Then, it would take several years of good recruiting to put them on a level to even compete with Ohio State, who they would probably lose to most years.
He would have to work 10 times harder to rebuild that program than he would have to do staying here. So how much more money would they have to offer than he is already making for him to want to bother with it?
This was a rebuilding year people. Do yall not remember losing our qb, 2 starting wrs, and our starting rb? It is like LSU fans are just throwing out one excuse to get him to go because he had a down year during a rebuilding year for the offense (and still rebuilding from all the defensive players leaving early).

That going to happen?
Again, I have no damn clue.
The idea was that this is what could be going through Les' mind, when debating what to do.
I'm sure he thinks he can win another one.

Give me one reason besides it being his alma mater that would make Les want to leave LSU for Michigan?
Easier route to the playoff might be enticing. Lower expectations for the near future as well. Maybe they'd be willing to paying him more than LSU at this point as well. It would be hard to imagine him getting another raise after this season.

The Michigan clause in his contract shows you he'd at least consider it. And he's always publicly supported Michigan. ive never heard any other coaches do that.
The Michigan AD or lack of AD will be a big factor.

So is winning another title at LSU, becoming a two time NC, and the best coach in LSU football history. He may be thinking that way.
He's never accomplishing that, and people need to accept it. With Saban at Bama, Les is done being the "greatest" LSU coach. Saban proves it, unfortunately, that he was and is the best LSU coach ever. Miles is very good, but outside his first 3 sesaons, he's no better than Saban was here in his 5.
Since 2008, LSU is 69-22 (76%) with 2 non-winning SEC records, 1 SEC title, and and NC loss.
In Saban's 5 years, he was 48-17 (74%), 2 SEC titles, and and NC win. Add on top of that what Saban has and is doing at Bama, and sorry, but Les isn't the best coach LSU's had. He may be #3 behind Saban and Dietzel.

How is it easier?
They would have Ohio State in their division, and they won't be beating them for awhile until they fix a lot of their problems.

LSU fans crying for Patterson probably havent heard how deranged the guy is. One of my best friends was on his staff at TCU for years, Patterson is a frickingnut

Don't care as long as he wins.

People also need to accept that we don't have Saban. There is only 1 coach having Saban like results, and that is...you guessed it, Saban.
No other coach comes close to his success, but for some reason we expect those results.

I disagree with this. most coaches will tell you its much easier to rebuild a program than to maintain one. You have to deal with unrealistic expectations every year, entitled players and fans, etc.
And just look at the difference in competition. UM plays maybe 2-3 ranked teams a year. LSU plays one every other week.

Not really. Roster is pretty stacked.

Oh, I see you just dont know anything about Michigan.
