So if he is resigning before the bowl game, does that mean they'll announce Saban/other immediately afterwards?

Seems that they would already have someone in place before he steps down.

So he gone tomorrow?

This has been completely out of control, entertaining at times though

Its a tough business but I always feel for the person that goes thru this. It must be very painful for Mack. Hope its all over soon and he can move on and heal.

Thanks for all 16 seasons, Mack

I hope we don't miss you too bad, but still was an overall good run

Yeah, I think about all those pitiful college/NFL coaches and how much of a better life I have. I feel so privileged.

The guy on 610 read it on Tigerdroppings and then reported it on the radio. Must be true.

Mack is so loaded. He has so many rich Texan friends, a huge bank account himself, a huge longterm buyout, and a wife that pulls in millions as a real estate mogul.

This guy should retire. Not even sure why he hasn't yet.

Its not like Texas fans hate him. They just know its time to move on. He can live in Austin and be a local celeb until he dies if he wants.

Mack has been great with the big money people at UT. While the last few years have not been great on the field, he leaves the program in a lot better shape that it was when he took over.
