Alabama
USC
Norte Dame
Michigan
Florida
Texas
Ohio State

Are all better programs throughout history. Just because two boobs said on ESPN that we are top five does not make it so. We've perhaps had the potential to be so, but we're just not.

I think LSU is in the 6-8 range but I would absolutely put LSU above Notre Dame now.

Honestly LSU was never really considered a top-echelon program until after Saban's tenure. Only over the past 10-15 years, with Louisiana becoming a recruiting hotbed, has LSU risen in stature. Historically speaking, we don't hold a candle to teams like Notre Dame, Michigan, Nebraska, Oklahoma, etc

Top 5 job bud!
Money
Recruiting hot bed ( with no instate competition)
Fan base
Facilities

There's no reason we shouldn't be considered a top 5 job. If you can't see that your not the sharpest tool in the shed.

YOUR WRONG!

Historically I agree, but times change and today it is TOP 6!!!!! So that is damn good I will take that any day of the week.

ND - was past tense, great tradition but is not and will not ever be again a top 5 program because of academic standards too high to regularly compete. They can have a couple of good years but eventually they will fall back into the kinds of years they are having this year.

Florida - completely disagree with you, it is a great job but not top 5 when you compare the rest it is close though. When you look at LSU and Florida the difference is recruiting and the fact that LSU has no competition in the state Florida has FSU and Miami not to mention every swinging dick in the country trying to poach players from Florida. Nope LSU is the better job not even a real argument on that.

So we are down to Bama, USC, Texas, Ohio St and Michigan and I think LSU is the next school so I was off by one we are top 6 in the country still damn good and some people might argue the Michigan/LSU thing although I wouldn't I think Michigan is the better job.

3. Florida
4. USC
5. Norte Dame
6. Ohio State
7. LSU
8. Michigan
9. Oklahoma
10. Oregon or Florida State

You are 1,000% correct about historically speaking but we aren't playing in historical times are we???? We are playing in CURRENT times and currently LSU is a top 6 job in the land for the exact reasons you stated "Louisiana is a hotbed of recruiting and we are the only GAME in town period in of story!!!!
