Ok I actually thought you were somewhat intelligent in prior posts but this one proves YOU ARE NOT!!! All I can think is you are trying to keep your thread relevant and at the top of the board, but if you actually believe this then your brain is seriously telling you to;

PUT DOWN THE CRACK PIPE, YOU ARE KILLING ME!!!

Not at all. Would prefer Herman over Fisher. Wouldn't mind taking a look at Gundy. Once we past 2nd or 3rd option, we should still look at O with shorter contract but incentive laden.

Miami has two top 10 recruiting classes in the last decade, none of which were recent. They havent played in a BCS or NYD bowl game in nearly 15 years.

They still have to compete with players from Florida and FSU.

LSU's recruiting is nearly turnkey. They have no one to compete with. Which makes them a top 5 job. It's rare that a program can keep momentum even after firing a coach, but LSU has seemed to. That says enough.

With the right coach, Miami has proven its potential to be a dominant top 5 program. Clearly, LSU's lack of in state competition makes it unique snd a potential top destination, but LSU doesn't recruit itself. I was there for Archer and Hallman.

after 15 years, at what point does is this buried?

They aren't playing in the Big East anymore. They have viable programs to compete with now in the ACC.

It does right now and has for 15 years. They have a freaking top 5 class right now and they just fired their coach

Saban and Miles are excellent recruiters. A mistake to think LSU recruits itself, IMO.

LSU right now is better then Michigan Notre Dame Florida.

So....

Oklahoma maybe but not ND,Michigan or Florida. All 3 have more money and a bigger brand.

LSU does get bonus points for its recruiting base though.

Notre dame will never be a top 5 program ever again. Their location screws them.

You also have to realize the scholarship limits imposed really crippled some historically successful programs without a local talent pool, such as Nebraska.

Florida St and LSU are about equal. Michigan because of money & the footing Harbaugh currently has them on would be slightly ahead of both

You're an idiot. Please enlighten us to Florida's history before 1990.

History didn't start in 1976. FSU was garbage for decades before Bowden got there. You're about as dumb as the OP thinking Florida has a better history.

Oregon's barely in the top 50
They have by far the best facilities in the country, an awesome stadium, great fan base and a prominent booster that will pay 10mil a year for a coach.

Barely top 50 though huh?

How about give me 35 universities that are better. Should be easy if they're barely top 50.

LSU pays more, has a better stadium, a better fan base, a top 10 (maybe top 5) state all to itself and it's in the SEC. That's why it's better than FSU.

Quality of players makes it better than Michigan. There's a reason why Jim H wants so damn desperately to set up satellite camps in the SEC states. Better athletes.

There are 3 arguments going on in this thread right now. Top ten programs historically, top ten programs over the last 30 years, and top ten most attractive coaching job today.

I'm asking you to give me 35 programs that are better today than Oregon. Apparently it's laughable to you that their near the top 10 and you clearly know 40+ better programs because "they're barely in the top 50".
