Lifetime Ban

The next text I get from my source will probably let me know if it's Jimbo or not. I'll post it, if it turns out to be wrong... I accept a lifetime Ban. That's how much I trust my guy.

Why go through all of this?
Additionally, why would you offer a lifetime ban if you're wrong? Do you need to be believed that badly?
