People don't take into account what having a nationally relevant football program does on enrollment levels at a state school like LSU. If LSU enrollment goes up 5% year to year, they stand to make an extra $25,000,000 on the academic side. It doesn't even figure for qualitative effects on donations to schools, and further what it does to you athletic department financials.

I'm not certain this report helps us. Since it comes from a credible media source, won't it be picked up by ESPN and others? And won't Jimbo have to answer inquiries about it before his final game? And won't he then faced increased pressure from his players, FSU, and its fans to stay? Better if this had all been done quickly and secretly.
